Yet another AFA abortion

I was on the ESB thing too...

Come on Frank, we need more training before being able to spot the difference between a Palitoy and Kenner baggie, especially as it hasn't got Palitoy written on it in big blue letters

See the previous statement re blue font & kenner issued baggies chubbs

I didn't spot it either

To answer the ESB thing - the Archive baggie guide has a designation system that sees certain baggie types labelled according to when they were first used/produced. The ESB-C is baggie type that was used during the ESB period but that doesn't mean it stopped there, plenty of ROTJ figures can be found in it but they are still called ESB-C's..confused? :)

Looks like the foreign Nien Nunb baggie that can be found in the non U.S. mailers just like the one for Ackbar.

Just to reiterate what Joe said, this is true. Luke Jedi for example, can be found in the ESB-D and ESB-H baggies, but those types were first used in the ESB era.

Thanks for clearing that up guys. I don't know anything about baggies as it's not an area I follow so it was hard to see what was wrong with the AFA one. It is a bad error though to put kenner when they are the authority!

Right I'm off to find those ewoks in ESB that Todd mentioned....

I love threads like this that highlight everybody is human. If you think Star Wars AFA collectors are protective, you guys should see the morons that collect VGA graded games. They point blank refused to believe me in a forun discussion that they ever make mistakes, despite showing them a whole thread of cock ups. They also refused to believe that they grade packaging errors, despite showing them a whole thread of graded miscards.

They honestly think VGA/AFA is some kind of higher entity that cannot be faulted nor challenged. I thoroughly enjoyed telling them it was just a bunch of simpletons sitting in a room with zero collecting knowledge.

What's the problem, I thought factory errors added value and rarity  they've done him a favour :D
