X-PACK'S collection - September 2015

I need to post some more photos because it's changed A LOT since i started on this forum. Miles better now. Binned the repro crap and have a nice collection of ESB back reseals coming along. I will take some more photos when i get chance 8)

Cheers for the compliment :D

Great collection, its such fun to look at because its so random and has that museum look about it. Looking forward to seeing your newly-acquired reseals among it.
So many cool items here - I had that bubble bath set when I was a kid

Barry your collection always makes me smile when I look at it - so much going on and to spot, it reminds me of the old days.

Brill mate :D

Cool mate. Thanks for your kind comments. The ESB back collection is rolling along nicely. Got five more in the last month :D ...that's if the latest three turn up :?

That's a great Varied collection you have there

That Meccano Yoda Rocks - you could get a pretty penny for that these days. Makes me wish i kept hold of My Yoda Miscard

Love the way the Moc's are Flying around on the outside of the beams also.

Cheers

Vince

Thanks guys. It's not an ideal set up. Shame to have it in the loft but there's not much room in the house at the moment. I'm hoping to get shut of at least one of the kids when they finish school and have their room for my man cave

Quite a lot that I need to add from the last few months. Got some reseal restorations on the go. Need some clever storage solution ideas for more cardbacks in star cases :?

Wow it's been 7 months since I viewed/commentedon your wonderful collection.
Excellent update! I love the fact that this beautiful collection is hiding in the attic. Climbing that ladder must be a treat every time!
Great work!

Hmm, I'm sure there's room for a little more.
I only have a small wall cabinet for my figs, keep thinking I'll get a more organised display going, then... aw nuts I've just bought more stuff to try and cram in. :? 8)

Superb collection and choice display.

This has got to be one of my favourite displays... eyes darting all over the place, trying to digest as much visual information as possible... cracking stuff

I love to see well organised displays in Deltofs and the like, but when I come to sort my own collection out then this is the route I will be going down. I've little room in my humble abode, but I have got a tall-boy cupboard in the spare room that I've earmarked for my Star Wars gear... it will be crammed full of stuff like yours, Barry- and I think half the fun is organising and re-jigging to accommodate new acquisitions in a limited space. I'm looking forward to that challenge!

Cheers mate, inspiring photos indeed 8)

Cheers Martin. Only just saw the latest replies. Thanks everyone :)

I still have loads of things to add. Completely ran out of space with the cards and now i've got an AtAt to fit in there! Thinking of partially boarding out that side of the attic to hang the cards on. Could make a custom display if i got my arse in gear 8)

Just had a great time looking through your updated pics, fantastic looking! :D

One thing I wondered is if it's a Ledy Jawa with removable hood and a n original VCJ? (Sorry if you've already been asked that earlier). Also, have you noticed anything deteriorating since it's been in the loft? I often wonder if the changes in temperature up there would yellow bubbles or warp the card backs. I'm hoping not but it would be good to know.

Anyway i'm going back for another look now and as so many have said already it's a great way you've displayed everything, a man after my own heart! :D

Hi Palifan

Well the cloth cape Jawa is just your standard run of the mill Jawa. I have no idea if the VCJ is genuine or not. We bought it about 15 years ago as genuine. I have my doubts but, to be honest, I don't really want to know. It will never be sold for that reason ...unless I croak it and the Mrs flogs the lot to you guys

As for deterioration I haven't noticed anything. There's a decent airflow so no damp. I go up at least once a week and just sit staring, pondering my collection. If there was any change I would move the lot.

Planning on taking new pictures as I don't like these latest ones. Exposure is tricky because there's bugger all lighting. Also it's time for a rearrange, which is essentially an excuse to play with my Star Wars figures :D

Cheers for the info and good to hear that everything's in the same condition it started out as (although it would be nice if the reseals resealed themselves whilst up there! )

Look forward to seeing more when you get the time and it's always good to change things around every now and then, they are toys after all and deserve a good play with (you must have seen Toy Story?).

Keep that collection growing. :D
