X-PACK'S collection - September 2015

Oh yes, my Star Wars carded Walrus Man ...it's a fake  So is the Imperial Stormtrooper ESB back. Other than that they are genuine. There are also some repro weapons on there, not many though. See how honest i am! I am starting to come round to tracking down genuine replacements.

How much are the cases? I might be tempted for my Meccano Yoda and POTF B-Wing Pilot.

Cheers

*edited as I cocked up the link*

Here's a link to Star Cases (down the bottom): http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13973

Your right it's not the prettiest layout, but it works and looks bloody brilliant - I really like it.

It would be wise to get a protective case - especially for the Meccano ROTJ Yoda to protect the bubble becoming any more loose - it is a rare piece

Really love these kind of displays, piles of SW goodies all jumbled together in 'toy store' stylee, there's always something different to pick out, and for me anyway, rearranging is half the fun! Great collection Sir.

THankyou! :D

I have now ordered a couple of Star cases and am looking for some top-loader cards, mainly to keep the Yoda bubble attached. Also i've got a nice carded Emperors Royal Guard arriving shortly thanks to this forum. Always wanted one.

lol  Like on Blue Peter but much cooler (and less water logged).

It's getting even fuller, that's the problem. Was actually thinking another shelf might be needed.

It is. Conditions are fairly stable up there - no damp, etc.

The whole thing used to be in our hallway when i lived in my wife's old house. It would stop people in their tracks. I might try talking her round again but would need a smaller display case like a DETOLF or sommat.

I'm glad you all like my collection. That means a lot :) It's not the rarest but i love each piece.

Love it Barry - it rings of earlier days of collecting :D Nice to see the Jawa in there also

ps love the xmas tree getting a lookin

Thankyou :D

That's the kind of set i always had. It's just that when i collected with my brother and step dad it filled a small room! I like a full look with my collection. With the addition of the Jawa and some ERG's it's needing a review. I won't sell anything but something of a reshuffle is needed within the case. That troop transport takes up a lot of space :? Might do a separate shelf for the big stuff so Chewie doesn't have to hump that ship anymore

Nice setup mate, I will take the twin pod and the Dewback :D

P.s I wouldn't use the bath foam after all these years, those with sensitive skin may burn easy :)

Nothing for sale here i'm afraid. You just reminded me of selling my mint boxed ESB x-wing  thanks so much for the painful memories of regret.

That bath foam was probably toxic back in 1981 so now it would just melt a hole through the bath like Alien blood:o

I'm considering a rejig of the set up so i have more room for carded figures. Chewie may lose his play thing to another shelf

I love it :)

Clean displays always allow the eye to showcase items in question, but those that offer a visual treat have you looking for longer, they enthuse me :)

I love this collection, it's a true Star Wars Aladdins Cave. So much to look at, I love that your eye does get a bit distracted just as you've spotted one thing you catch a glimpse of something else....Awesome dude

Great collection, I love the set up, it looks like a Star Wars museum :D so much to look at.

Cheers man. In making some of the shelves custom to fit certain size boxes and figures i've done myself out of space for MOC's

I love looking at displays like this, Barry- it's completely absorbing. I can understand you needing to re-jig as new pieces come along, but I would refrain from changing the look of it... anyway, isn't it about time you gave us some updated photos from your attic? :D

How have I missed this little showcase.

Absolutely awesome X-Pack. Nothing wrong with it not being pretty. Jez's museum is a credit to him, love the way he has displaid his items, but this is also just a credible. I love looking at collections like this because as Dave said, you can look for ages and still spot more stuff. Great little showcase.

And the Meccano Yoda!!!! :o He should have pride of place. Love it, want it!! Ever want to sell him, I'm your man!!! :D
