x box one v ps4

Also lad wants xbox one for xmas but trying to push him towards ps4 so need summet to support me case and convince a 8 year old

I haven't splashed out on a new PS because I really don't see the point right now. There are so many great games still being produced for the PS3, not to mention some amazing older games that can be picked up for peanuts.

There's just no incentive to upgrade. I believe the PS4 at the moment is only a slight upgrade to the PS3. If a new COD came out it might change my mind, but then again the last one was crap.

as above really, i have a ps4 and the kids spend more time on xbox 360 playing old games we buy for £2 each lol

we only use it for blu rays, amazon streaming and a couple if games. i would wait mate.

Say what.... the last cod is better then all the previous modern warfare ones.... I really like it, also giving you 3 different online type off games (multiplayer online, Squads and Extinsion) is a nice bonus.

what i don't like on the latest 3 COd games, is re-issueing older online maps put in a new jacket to make them look different.

What is also a plus is that the map have breach points and cool features where you can use lifts, collapse structures, etc...

To be honest i only had a few goes round a mates house online. That was Ghosts. Wasn't overly impressed, but it was on the PS3. Didn't explore the whole lot of game modes. I still like Black Ops 2 so there's no point at the moment. Also I am acutely aware that once I buy a PS4 the old console will become surplus.

That's the mistake they made - the PS4 should have been backwards compatible. Would have bought one ages ago if it was.

I personally think the PS4 is better but went with the xbox one as everyone I knew had an xbox so for FIFA nights had to go with the flow. But if it was for just personal play definitely PS4.

PS4 will arrive in the House of Chubb at some point, as Barry said though the PS3 back catalogue is great and the latest PS3 games are more than keeping me busy at the moment.

Like i said earlier i have both consoles and, in a nutshell, if i had to have 1 from scratch i would go for the ps4 and that coming from xbox scum is a big deal believe me! Don't be too harsh on the old betamax tho as it now has a blu ray player built in dont forget :wink: They both basically do the same thing i just think the ps4 is a bit less clunkier if that makes sense both on and off screen.

I have to say Ps4 is the best console but its only by a small margin. The current Console war is ludicrous, Last time around there was a huge gulf between PS3 and XBox 360. Ps3 being the better system along with having free multi player Blu-ray WIFI wireless controller as standard and Xbox outsold it by quite a way now the gap between the two is infinitesimally small and the games are all pretty much exactly the same on either console MS still have the exact same exclusives and POW Ps4 is kicking its ass!

I have to say Jambob i disagree when you state the ps3 was by far the better console??? The exclusive rights that Microsoft had for games like GOW and Halo, not to mention months earlier content for stuff like COD and GTA made all difference to hardcore gamers who want everything yesterday. Saying that, i dont really care as i own all 4 but thats cos i am able to get them for the kids when they are really for me :wink:

Haha you can disagree all you want I had a PS3 on day one and an Xbox 360 on day one and that's why I "know" the PS3 was the better console, it was more powerful contained a better CPU/GPU it had better memory a blu Ray player wifi free multiplayer and a whole heap of other things Xbox 360 didn't. I "currently although not for much longer" work for a Microsoft partner and I played Xbox one with the pre release team about 3-4 months before it was launched and I and a few of the other gamers in my office told them the system felt really underwhelming. What I was majorly upset with was when I got my PS4 on launch day, it was instantly apparent how limited both systems are there is no point owning both consoles from a gaming point of view they the exact same systems if you have multiplayer friends on one console buy that one, If you want the best console buy a PS4 but don't expect to have you socks blown off as its PS3.5 and Xbox 0.5 at this moment in time these consoles are not next gen.
