Looking to get the new star wars battle front game. Anyone any advice on which console to buy? Are there any pros or cons? Or are they much the same?

Think a lot of people (myself included) are asking themselves the same question.
There is a thread about the up coming game where people have stated their current preferences on consoles.

I'm leaning towards PS4 but if Microsoft announce a special edition SW console similar to the one they did for their 360 I would probably go for it.

Either way I can't wait, watched the latest trailer and got waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too excited when the Falcon roared onto the screen - I am going to be flying the MF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Simple denominator. If you already have an Xbox 360 or PS3 then maybe your best sticking to what you know. That's the main reason I went with the Xbone in the end.

Hi mate I had a Xbox360 and a PS3, the PS3 I could never get used to the controller and only ever used it for Blu-Ray, moved onto Xbox one, I have one in the main room which we often use for movies and gaming, I then decided to buy another console got the bedroom so when my wife was entertaining friends I could chill out and do some gaming, was going to get a ps4 aswel but I'm glad I decided to get another xbox one, with the Xbox I got addicted to gamer points ( sad I know ) :) also with Games like Gears of War coming out in the future I will always stick with the Xbox, I'm not saying anything bad about the Ps4 as they are both great consoles for me it would be whatever controller you feel happy with.

I presume both consoles you are fit to hook up cinema surr, sound!? Or will I need that separate? And are there usb ports to plug laptops in or are they wireless?

Superbly put, if you're used to one then stick with it. We've always been a PS family at the core. when certain good deals came up part way through the consoles lifespan we've traded in games to get a good deal on the alternate X-Box console each time, but despite having many pros, we've never really settled on the more cumbersome controller (just my opinion for my hand size and no derogatory comment meant) that comes with the X-Box, so we always go back to the PS when a new one comes out.

PS4 is sitting patiently waiting for the already pre-ordered copy of Star Wars Battlefront...

There's nothing in it. Literally nothing. It's all down to preference. It used to be that Sony didn't charge for online access, but now they do. It used to be that the PS had blu-ray. I'm not sure what the script is there now. But who gives a crap about blu-ray anyway?

I like Playstations so I got a PS4. It's a sleek machine and does what you would expect. Only thing is i've had a load of online problems with GTA5 recently. Other than that it's been fine.

Bare in mind that the new Star Wars game will probably be like the best selling game ever. Whenever these massive games are launched there are always problems these days. You can bet your bollocks that the online functions will go kaput straight away, or that PSN will go down for 5 days like it did last Christmas upon the release of the big GTA seasonal special features. That whole thing with snow - I missed that completely

Maybe there should be a poll to see who's got what and you can judge from that :)

Cheers thanks, whet to the local store to have a look. Xbox are now letting you upgrade the system so you can also play old games plus memory is now upto 1TB if that makes sense.
PlayStation to compete with this are also having a system with 1TB I think both systems used to have 500mb memory. PlayStation at minute won't play older games but has a TV package that allows you to play on any TV in the house and by not moving the console from room to room. It costs £279 and the xbox within gimmicks will cost £329. These are the new deals I think for the next month or two.
But I guess as you guys say it will just boil down to whatever each of us are used to :)

If PS4 had been able to play older games it would have been perfect. Really annoys me that i have all these old COD games, Mirrors Edge and uncharted and I can't play them anymore ...well i can, but the kids have taken over the old system.

I have a PS4 (but i had every other Plastation bbefore that aswell), what ennoys me with the PS4, is that you have to have a PS plus account to play online, so it costs you 40 euro a year to play online (but you get free downloads and every month some free games aswell). But XBOX players had to pay to play online allready with the previous console.

Also, one off the best games ever made is an PS exclusive (The last of US, it came out on PS3 and got remastered for PS4), now they are working on a sequel to that game. If you like games like the uncharted series and similar, you have to give the last of us a try.

Ive got both consoles. I havent used the PS4 since xmas. Xbox is the better media system and PS4 concentrates on gaming. In a nutshell, they both do the same, the ps4 looks nicer but i stick to xbox one for streaming movies in the browser. My kids have ps3s but my lad wants an xbox one for xmas, only probs because i have 1 tho and he wants to batter me on cod! Get either and im sure you will be happy. The only thing i would say is xbox seem to get online content a few months before ps4 on the big titles like cod and gta. Oh and just remembered, and i dont know if you can do this on ps4, on the xbox one you can record clips, take screen grabs, broadcast games live, have split screen to watch tv/use skype whilst playing games etc and all done by voice control.

I have bought the last of us twice and got bored with it and sold it on both times. I love games like that normally.

i got a ps4 and the last of us, and sold it, and the console.

ive kept my xbox 360 and i play all the retro emulator ps2, megadrive, snes games most of the time.

if i plump for battle front ill go PC most likely
