By the sounds of it Joe has (in Adam's mind) ****ed him (Adam) over on some deal years ago and Adam has now led Joe up the garden path and given him a taste of his own medicine. Joe's not happy and is highlighting it in Adam's FS thread. The Mods over there will wade in soon enough.

Yeah i've made an innocent non-sale comment on a FS thread and Michael has jumped down my throat with threats of being banned. Strange these long standing members have been allowed to go on for 3 pages!

re; their argument, either would have made a better case for themselves had they made their point and then walked away. But the pages of back and forth have just made the whole thing a little silly.

Personally after reading everything i wouldn't deal with either member. Ever! I find the admission by Joe that he sometimes can't be bothered to post items up to weeks after money has been trousered despicable and Adam pulls out of deals when he gets better offers equally detestable. I guess what they both set out to do to each other has worked then.

Yeah i haven't really posted on there since. Had a sale thread but that came to nothing and i only ever visit the site now through threads like this or alerts to interesting sales etc. Don't need the hypocritical high-and-mighty bullshit you get over there.
I remmeber another incident when a guy (not a long standing member) was chewed out for selling repro/customs mocs, (advertised as customs), even tho they let Mark Poon continue to sell his completely illegal Fett customs/knock-offs... cos members quite like them and he's a long standing member. I bought this to the attention of the mod in question but he didn't it necessary to explain himself. Full of it, the lot of em.

It's certainly not a case of "can't be bothered" on the occasion that things ship slow. I work a very draining schedule, and while 99 out of 100 packages will go out within a week, I'm not going to lie and say that sometimes packages don't take a couple of weeks to get to the post for me.When I was without a vehicle for a few it was at it's worst because I didn't have reliable transit to the post with bigger packages, and I told buyers as they were making their purchases that it may take a bit for packages to arrive. I sold some high end stuff to buy a car at that point. I'm just honest and admit my flaws rather than trying to claim that I'm without sin. IF that makes you not want to deal with me, that's no skin off my ass.

As for Adam, he doesn't grasp how in the wrong he is. He'll argue til the end that he's without fault.While I completely understand that all the going back and forth has hurt BOTH of our reputations in some peoples eyes, I had a watch out thread on Adam, that he convinced mods that we'd settled our issue, and had gotten the thread removed. My bringing up his shitty actions towards me and other collectors in his thread was just to make sure that he didn't have free reign to pull that on someone trying to buy his MT's.
a package taking an extra week to arrive is far less severe than offering someone an item at x set price, then extorting another 1k out of them for it, after they've given a deposit.

Not buying that at all i'm afraid. I should think quite a lot of people in these forums have a busy schedule... i may be wrong, you may be the only one... but i've NEVER heard of anyone taking "weeks"!! to post something. If someone did that with me i'd be livid! Unless it is stated during a deal with someone that this is how long something will take to be posted then it is entirely unacceptable. No excuse whatsoever. I don't see how anyone can be that busy for TWO WEEKS that they can't get down the post office or package something at home and take it to work with them to post etc etc... Can i ask, do you ever sell on ebay? Do you on occasion take a similar length of time to post things you sell on there? Or knowing you will get "negged" do you shift things a bit quicker?
It's nothing personal i'm just calling it like i see it. I sell a lot on ebay and some on the forums and i pride myself in shipping things out within 24 hours (longer on the weekends). I think it's my duty once i have taken someones money and i know they are waiting for the items they have paid for. I couldn't in good conscience keep them waiting for 2 weeks. No matter what is going on elsewhere in my personal life.

I prefer selling on RS, but in rare situations I sell on Ebay, and IF there's going to be a delay in shipping I tell the buyer, and they've always been just fine about it. Feedback's 100%. Doesn't really matter if you're buying it, It's what happens when someone runs 2 business' and has DJ and other musical obligations, on top of family obligations. I'm upfront about the fact that sometimes packages take a bit to get out, and as said 99 out of 100 times package is shipped within a week of payment. When buying an avg prices purchase from a KNOWN seller I generally don't even email them until it's been a month. I'm patient and known that life sometimes causes delays. I'm not hypocritical, nor am I trying to rip anyone off or deceive them.
