Guys,

I just wanted to say what an amazing forum this is.The kindness and generosity shown here in a variety of ways is mind blowing,and its something ive never seem on any forum anywhere.The competitions,the way in which you all help to gee each other up-amazing.Ive been around for a good few years now,and i have honestly never seen such a place.I am in one of those quiet modes of collecting at the moment,and have given myself limited time it but just seeing whats happened in this place over the last few weeks has stunned me.I dont frequent RS too much anymore,and find myself checking this place out more and more often.That wasnt down to ignorance,but down the fact i had become accustomed to RS and all its ways.This has really turned my head.I myself can be argumentative **** with some people,and i know that full well-ive even had arguments and heated discussions with some people here,but honestly this has really had a effect on me.**** me,here was me doubting the Palitoy VCJ :wink: and getting irate,and then i see what else this hobby can bring to some peoples lives.

I know we all have disagreements etc,but the persona of this place is second to none.

Lee that's a VERY well written post. I agree 100% that this place has something about it. I like the fact that its a community of collectors that look out for each other throughout times of good and bad. I too took a break from this place for about 2 years as I went through some dark times regarding the hobby and some of the forums in general. Iv had arguments on here to with a few of the guys. Stupid sh*t can get said in the heat of the moment sometimes but real people can stand up and take account for their actions. This place is real. Long live SWF.UK.

No, seriously this forum has been a real eye opener, I have been/am a member on many forums out there, not just star wars ones, but ones for many interests I have or had & have never seen such a sense of community spirit & folks having one another's backs as goes on here, its more like a club than a forum & a tight knit bunch of great guys are on here there sure is & obviously a few nut job's like myself, as you have to even the scales :mrgreen:

Couldnt agree more with you Lee. Like Frank I am on many forum not just Star Wars and this by far is the best of the lot, not jsut because its the hobby I have loved and been into since a kid, but the atmosphere, kindness and all round vibe on here is astounding and make this forum what it is.

IMO what makes a great forum is the people, which is why I have a very hands-off approach. I think we'd all agree that what often ruins other forums is heavy handed moderators, super-egos, and owners trying too hard. If you just let something sort itself out, the result is usually better than a forced one.

As most of the guys have said, I couldnt agree more, I was introduced to this forum by Iain, having never been on any other collecting boards before. I have only really got back into serious collecting 6 months ago and i have to say this forum is amazing.

As someone pointed out, the sense of a 'club' rather than so random forum has kept me logging on here day in, day out. I have bought some quality pieces from some absolute gentlemen :wink: and sold a few pieces too....The 'Free Competions' that have got up and running have only added to what is already, imo, the best SW related forum I have come accross for Newbies, avid collectors, right up to fully fledged experts.

All I can say is thanks for all the advice, great feedback on LA bought and the general goodwill that this forum generates,
