I love the first two weeks, three games a day is brilliant. It's not the same after that because England are usually out by now. :lol: From now on every game I watch apart from the ones England are involved in, I want them to go to extra time and pens.

I've dropped a bolluck here, the Mrs has gone out tonight and I've arranged to go out tomorrow night. Bloody wrong way round. :? :roll: :|

Now back to the football, I see the papers are starting to talk up England's chances. I think they'd be wise to only concentrate on the next game. If that shite creeps inside players heads its game over.

Dear god. In started that game half hoping Russia would win cos they were massive underdogs and it's always nice to see one of the big boys going out. But **** me, that is the worst display I have ever seen by a football team. They make Jose's Utd look like Barcelona in their pomp. A flat back 5 who barely left the box and four holding midfielders who held hands with the defence all game. Then as soon as they got the ball they hoofed it away and sat their waiting for Spain to come back. They didn't try to play football never mind attack Spain. They turned up hoping for penalties and got lucky.
I have no time for teams like that. I hope they get beaten 400-0 in the next round.
Ohh and can anyone tell me why Spain weren't given a penalty in ET? That looked like the definition of holding to me, and on two Spanish players as well. Was Mr Putin in charge of the VAR?
England will NEVER have an easier run to a WC final. Though I still expect they'll stuff it up.

Whilst Russia were undeniably negative as hell, Spain could and should have been far more positive. If you never put the ball into the box, you won't score goals. Everyone knows Spain are the better side, but they seemed to lack any and all ambition. If Spain had been prepared to properly attack Russia, I'm sure they would have been rewarded at some point over the 90 minutes.weasel said:I told you Spain would win it!

As for the ET penalty shout, like you I thought it was a clear penalty, however apparently other replays showed both players holding each other's shirts, hence it was a 50-50 and hence no foul or penalty.
