Can someone just weigh 8 vintage figures of normal size (rebel trooper han hoth etc) and give me a rough weight, I have a seller on ebay thats been dicking me around for coming up on 2 weeks because he doesn't know what to charge me for postage and has to stop by the post office to check..

I sent him the USPS.com web address and told him to do that and he hasn't replied.

The guy seemed decent enough at the start, agreed to shipping and was quite friendly in emails but since I won the figures he's just not bothered.

If someone can give me a rough weight (my scales are broken!) Of 8 figures in an envelope I will do the usps.com math and send him the amount..

Wife things I'm going mad weighing Star Wars figures. Weighed about 10 diff ones (Han Trench, Stormtrooper, Vader) nothing like a Gamm Guard and you are looking at between 1.8g and 2.1g for each.
Hope that helps

Awesome thanks Bez! Hopefully I will receive the figures sometime this year

Why is it so hard to do simple tasks when you sell on ebay?

Are figures really that light?!
Thats a total of what 16grams for 8 figures?!

1 pound = 453.59237 grams

Shipping cost for 1 pound = $10.76

I don't mind if thats correct ! cheaper than I thought LOL

I am severely failing at simple maths here can someone explain

I reguarly get loose figs from the states. In a jiffy bag 8 figs shouldn't be any more than about $7-$8 imo.

That sounds good to me Lee, so I did do it right

**** me even if I got a bit stuck, what was that 20 mins? and we have the answer lol

I will now inform the seller 8)

(thanks again lee + bez )

I agree with Lee you shouldnt pay more than $8 - $9 for them to be shipped to you. Unless the U.S charge more to send to Romainia than they do to the UK.

Ok well I just sent another request for an invoice with the new info, said he can go look again if he isn't happy with my calculations lol

I can see this ending badly somehow !

The $8-$9 should be more than enough. I just sent a small box with a mailaway survival kit to Sweden and it was only around $7.

Thanks Shawn :) Thanks to all who helped, I will keep you posted when he replies!

Blimey, ok so I bought this guys figures, he was listing quite a few and as they came up I bought the ones I needed, good condition , good prices and original weapons.

I spoke to him a bit before and during his auctions and waited till they all finished to pay as I was also bidding on a couple.

Anyway, the auctions all ended and I expected a quick invoice. As I had spoken to the guy a little bit I asked him about spare weapons on the off chance he would have a check and I could get a few spares that I needed as well as what I bought.

He said he would check but never got back to me lol

Since then I have asked loads of times for the invoice and now he just replied with :

"Hello Joe, I have more Star Wars figures that are different than the ones you bought. I would like for you to see them so if there are any buy I could send them in the same package to save on the shipping. As for the shipping cost, I will have the package wrapped and ready to ship when I get a quote. Thanks again"

Now, fair enough all the other guys items have been received really quickly and everyone else has left feedback, and yes he seems like a nice guy, but I didn't ask him for other figures (only 2-3 weapons) and he didn't tell me he was going to offer me other figures a week ago when we spoke. AND he still says he has to go to the post office for a quote!

I just told him I don't want anything else now as I have sourced it elsewhere and yet again mentioned I am waiting on the invoice...

How long is this going to drag on for lol

In fact, he could have even invoiced me and THEN told me about his other bits ...

LOL yeah maybe! I shouldn't turn the charm on when asking questions on ebay! LOL

I don't mind so much but I just want to pay and get the figures!!
Plus anything I buy that's not done through ebay that DOESN'T turn up will be impossible to prove to ebay..

I actually think he is a decent bloke as I said but I am quite impatient - he's lucky really, I have never wanted to part with my cash as fast as this before

The story continues! After refusing his "extra figures" and asking for the invoice again, its been 3 more days since that message and still no invoice or reply.

So now he got this message...

"Hello once again,

I am afraid if I can't get an invoice today for the figures I bought I would
just prefer to cancel altogether, sorry but it has been over 2 weeks since
most of the auctions ended and postage can be worked out on the internet.

I am happy to pay for the figures with shipping, I just can't till you send
me the invoice.

Joe"

In the end I won't get my figures!!

Am I overreacting ? Would anyone say that last message rude? Like I said I just want to pay lol

LOL well judging by the fact that all his other figures reached their buyers and he does sometimes reply I guess not!

Anyway Edd has just proven that even with swine flu it IS possible to use a PC LOL
