I don't remember them as a kid as I didn't start buying figures until about 85. But I do remember Palitoys from collecting during the 90s, they were plentiful then, so for me that is the nostalgic attachment.

*Sigh* Can we get a board up & running for all the relative newbies like myself & Martin, for whom a Palitoy run will remain the stuff of fantasy? I feel like we need some sort of support group or coping mechanism.

For me, it is all about nostalgia, holding a carded figure with that glorious red and blue logo just reminds me of the time I was stood in front of a rack of carded figures deciding which one I could get with my saved up pocket money.
