Got pissed in an Irish bar beside the Digbeth bus station

I was in Brum several years back and we were at that bus station. We need to use the phone and found a payphone near that bar. There was a large black woman using it so we had to wait... and wait. After about 15 mins she left so my friend went into use the phone and the thing didn't work. That woman spent over 15 mins having a good chat on a phone that didn't work. And the English say the Irish are thick!

Although she was outside an Irish bar and she was black - so probably her ringing her son who plays footie for the Republic of Ireland

thankfully that coach station has been pulled down, and the pub next to it burnt down

The only 'club' that would let us in was Branegans - and even then the manager had to overrule the doorman, who didn't like our shoes...

Someone with sensible shoes and smart slacks on could never give anyone a kicking......

I'd forgotten places still had shoe police, but Chester's a nice place nonetheless :)

one place in birmingham has now banned Timberlands as a brand as they realise that all the scumbags in our town wear them!

I went to 'flares' in brum for a stag do once, no need for shoes there
