Stephen - you came to the right place to increase your vintage collection (check out the modern section as well)

Mark - sure you'll crack once and start buying again not that you're here

A warm welcome to both of you

Evening all.. long time lurker but now finally registered.

Been a vintage collector on and off for many years including still having a complete set of loose figures ftom my childhood and at one time a full set moc...now gone though :-(

started my days of the www forums on Gadders.com, then Imperial Outpost which have both long gone... but still haunt RS.. so nice to see some familiar faces on here from the UK fraternity.

Hopefully be able to give a bit of input now and again, plus hopefully expand my knowledge.

Hello, I'm Paul, originally from UK - now living in France. A few of you already know me from TIG forum and imperiagunnery.com. My collecting focuses are Luke X-Wing Pilot/X-Wing Fighter, Star Wars toys adverts... especially French Pif Gadget and Pali ads, plus oddball stuff like vinyl records, paperwork.

Have been following the resealed figures debate thread here with great interest since it kicked off, so thought I'd sign up and introduce me properly :)
Cheers
Best, Paul

Anyone else notice there's always a lot of guests viewing this topic?** Not surprising given the potential impact on a collection, or maybe there's a few silent watchers!

Probably folk like me sitting here with the popcorn! I saw that post in the Resealed figure discovery debate - G.Kurtz Palitoy VC Jawa and thought I should probably stop lurking and introduce myself :D I didn't really know about this forum until this news broke - soz

I've never been a carded collector but collected SW since 1991 so I know of most of the participants in that thread. I never went south of the Glasgow Toy Fairs.

I've been on RS since 2003 as Yak but drifted in and out the hobby while I collected Vintage Action Man. This year it's been firmly back to the Vintage SW, though I'm old school, no figure focusing for me, I like a bit of everything

hello everyone :D
this actually the first time ive ever posted on any starwars forum ,not big on the whole S,W net thing but ive felt drawn to join here so have
names jay , knocking towards 40 :( :D
been collecting vtg on and off since my fire ignited again around 1994ish,
like most did in the mid 90s i collected anything vtg i could get my hands via any shop i knew, ive long sold most of that vintage stuff boxed etc on to save and make space and the last 13/14 years ive been interested in mostly just carded figs which i have a fair few .
i dislike afa and have nothing graded and keeping it that way,
i will look forward to getting roped in here and hopefully doing a bit of contributing and some buying but for the sake of the wallet hopefully not too much
cheers jay 8)

Thanks Liam!! :D

I'd be glad to share it after I return from my overseas military deployment. :x Wife wants me home. LOL

I'll have to admit, though, the coin collection isn't anywhere as good as my SW collection, but I am strongly considering reducing my SW collection significantly to just the items I truly love and adding to the coin collection.

Yeah, i just think we as a forum need to start taking ourselves a bit more seriously. Otherwise how can we expect anyone else to.

Very true - the use of the word 'rim-jockey' should definitely not have to be tolerated by any decent Star Wars fan

Wow so many new members

Hi Scott, Robert and Jay. Welcome guys to the forum, I hope you guys will like it here :D

Hi everybody, new to this forum, even if some of you already knows me from TIG, RS and other forums...

My name is Juan Carlos (JC), spanish guy born in Belgium. I am 45 years old. I do collect vintage from the early 90 (former "ToyShop" magazine reader), principally foreign stuff. I grew up with Cipper, Palitoy and Meccano stuff because all of that was available in Belgium. I do now live in Spain...

I use to read this forum from years but never really felt the need to participate because i know most of you fom the other forum.

Let's say that the SWFUK has gained in quality these last 2 years and i really wish to make part of show.

Glad to be here and say "HELO"...

JC :D

ps : please, forgive my english!!!!
