Collecting Focus: Nothing Star Wars ironically. Current rocking the Masters of the Universe Classics, SH Figuarts. Getting ready for the coming Thundercats

Collecting interest: See above.

Looking For : To be honest my interest in buying new star wars isn't huge, unless it's something quirky that tickles me like the Holiday Special Boba Fett. The only "modern" figure i've bought was a stormtrooper and was disappointed by the lack of hip articulation. I confess I felt a mixture of disappointment and relief. Another army builder I am spared from.
I collected a bunch of the 90s stuff, most on card + a tonne of comics and books, most of which has been in plastic tubs for years and is doing nothing but taking up space now. I think it's time to let it go to another home. I would kill for an official release of Droids though. I crave it. Needs it I do.
Hope this didn't come off as too negative.

Hi

Mark here, almost 38 in may, engaged to be married, no kids, and from Devon, UK, love anything star wars here, had a allot of the original vintage figures and vehicles when I was growing up and loved them, then they got given away by my mum and me, to family and such, F****d up there but I was young and didn't know any better at the time, hindsight's a great thing.

Then last year I went mental and bought a whole 96 loose figure collection off ebay and haven't looked back since, got the bug again now and happily reliving my childhood, have got the Fett fetish at the moment and am looking for variants of him, painted dart and the unpainted knee + painted dart variant, also any unusual colour variants that are not just paint or plastic fade.

I will put some pics up soon of my whole collection, just waiting on 2 more Fett's to arrive.

Cheers Mark :D

Welcome to the forum Mark. Great guys on here and will be more than happy to help out if they can. ;)

Hi Marky1973, Welcome to the forum. Thats a good year you were born :D

I have a loose Fett that i bought about 6 months ago off ebay. He was described as mint and looked pretty good in the photo. When i received him though i realised his left arm is a completely different colour from the rest of him, I don't think its faded as its only his left arm that is affected....the rest of him is totally unaffected.....I wasn't happy putting him in my collection because of it so ended up buying another mint Fett.

He's been in a shoe box ever since with my other bits and bobs.....I don't know if this is common with this figure, or its classed as a variation? or its just a one off? Maybe you will know? Maybe you will want him?

I'll post a picture.....

Hi, i'm Pete 39 from North London, just been to my mum's and went through a few boxes and found all my star wars toys. i've got that fever again!

i have virtually all figures from 77-83 but missing 1st Luke. in 85 i was 13 and didn't get any of the last 17 apart from luke in stormtrooper, but is also missing?

also most weapons are missing aswell as capes, cloaks & ewok hoods.

with the vehicles there are just a few missing bits that i hope i can replace, is ebay the best place for spares?

gonna try and replace the capes, cloaks & hoods too, then maybe build display cabinets for them all.

also gonna try and get the rest of the last 17 and vehicles i never got (sandcrawler, imperial shuttle)

as i've just joined i'll be looking at the forum and will be in touch soon, cheers Pete
