It's been a month since i've checked this thread.
Welcome Michael, Clint, Richard, Toiletsarlac, Adam and Warren, a very warm welcome to SWFUK, you've taken your first step into a larger world.

Clint, i'm delighted that you've come over for a look about. Guys Clint is a top man from the other forums, we're betting for having him here.

Hi guys,
I'm Mark and I live in Manchester. I'm new to the forum although I've been playing/collecting since the 70's. Great to finally find a uk community with similar interests e.g. Palitoy, helix, letraset, etc as well as all the good stuff from the states. Look forward to talking to you all at some point and hopefully learning a few things along the way.
Mark

Welcome Mark!

Just thought I would introduce myself my name is Tony ( DARTHGULLIVER) .
Iam Tony live in Staffordshire and Iam in the building trade have been collecting star wars on and off for the last 20 years and Iam aged 34 . Iam a regular on ebay and pride myself on being a decent seller I mainly collect mint loose stuff for myself and Iam quite into PALITOY cards and been trying to downsize my collection to concentrate on certain things as With star wars you can get lost a bit because there is so much out there and i sort of lost where I was going trying to collect everything. Will not be trying to sell anything on here for a while as I can see its frowned upon but Iam planning on being on the site for a while so no rush. Cheers Tony

Hi everyone, I'm Steven.
I've recently got the urge to start collecting SW figures, possibly the start of a mid-life crisis as I'm approaching 40 & feeling nostalgic about the good old days! Truth be told my SW obsession (or my inner geek as the other half calls it) has always been there but I've never been serious about collecting before. I do have a number of loose figures & other bits & pieces already. I'm hoping I can learn from likeminded people about collecting & where the best place to start is. I've been looking on e-bay but realise there must be a better way of building a collection. Have to say, well impressed with some of the collections on here!

Wow, loads of new guys in the last 10 days. Big welcome to all of you. This is such a cool place to be a SW fan although I often think of it more as a refuge or asylum rather than forum. You can come and retreat into this place and for a few minutes a day block out the rest of the world; the only things that matter here are toys and your fellow forumites!

If any of you are planning on attending CE3 then check out the various threads here on it in the events section and make sure you join in the alcohol fuelled festivities in the evenings and if you're only about on the day then collar anyone in an SWFUK T-Shirt and be sure to stop by the podcast team's booth as S237. They're all members here and only Stu bites:

Just saying hi to everyone, I'm Stuart, 46 in a couple of weeks time, always been a Star Wars fan since going to see it in Leicester Square on a day trip up to London when it first came out. Still have all my original figures, comics, posters, pencil cases, T-shirts etc from when I was young, which I'm glad I never got rid of, although the figures are all a bit battered and battle worn.

Have been collecting figures now for a couple of years so thought it was time I joined the forum, had a couple of false starts, I began collecting UKG graded figures but decided I liked loose figures better after a while so sold those, also it seems more fun hunting around for nice loose figures. Probably just looking to complete a nice loose collection of the first 12 figures, plus some variant figures, Boba Fett, Yoda, Chewbacca, such as Lili Ledy, finances willing!

Site is really great, lots of invaluable information, and lots of amazing collections.

Hi all,

Been a browser on here over the years but have always been scared off of vintage collecting due to too many bad Ebay experiences.

Sooo it seems a good time to take the plunge. Appears to be a cracking site and other forums I've been a part of have either been in the US which makes time zones a bit difficult or UK based sites have seen members just disappear and eventually its died a death. Hopefully not because of me! :(

Anyway a little about me. I collect some Vintage . . . though with the kind of advice you see on here that will hopefully change, a lot of modern SW from basic 3 3/4", 6" up to Sideshow bits, comics, cards and a few models to paint now and again. Been collecting for 20 odd years so a decent size collection which a mortgage and kids has managed to curtail a bit. (Though avery forgiving wife to be fair.)
Based in N/W not far from Chester, just turned 40 and looking forward to going to Celebration with the family in (I can't believe) a few days! :D
Oh, and the names Aidy.

Cheers and hope to speak to a few of you soon. :D
