HI All,

im NIels, a 39 year old collector of StarWars from the Netherlands.

i started collecting at age of 12-13 and was one of the first int he Netherlands along with a few handful to attend fairs etc.

I just had a 15 year collecting break, but recently (1 month ago)came back. Interest was fired up again by some ppl hearing about my vintage collection and started to ask about my 12b clipper cards etc.

I used to collect everything as an obsession. hence i got a fair amount of carded figures. All from the pre internet era..:) There is probably some showcase thread so ill get some pics up there.

This site/forum so far has been a huge source of information for me on what happened in the scene last 10-15 years. So thank you all for that..:)

Niels

hi , scott here . 35 years old and used to have a massive star wars collection as a kid . like alot of folk my mother thought it would be a great idea to give it all away . while i was helping her sort out her attic for moving house i stumbled across a box that i opened - to my amazement staring back at me was an AT ST , a boxed and complete bike and a loose speeder bike . then another box with 20 odd figures a fair few in good condition with weapons and a few not so good . still cant quite believe it but holding them in my hand brought it all back . Need to sort it all out properly and see what is what . Hope to add to these over the coming weeks and this seems like a good place to educate myself about star wars collecting

Hi all
I'm Lyndon ... been lurking around and decided to finally join up . Huge fan for 30 plus years and collecting as long as I can remember . Been to a few shows in Milton Keynes and Cheshunt back in the day (the empire day thing's were great) and alas not been to a Celebration event yet. And many Collectormania events . Sadly most of my stuff is in storage as me and girlfriend are looking after a friends house while away travelling so not got my collection at hand but soon will be reunited . Recently been back into collecting serious again as took time away as it was getting out of hand (if such a thing!) but I'm glad to be here with same minded Star wars fans and getting immersed in this forum. cheers
Welcome Lyndon, I loved going to the Cheshunt shows - I would have a fry up at the greasy spoon just down the road.

Welcome guys/girls/trandoshans, stick around, have a laugh, learn a lot and don't take anything too seriously :D

Hi all!

I'm Matt wanting to get back in the game after a few years ago my ex-wife made me sell my vintage collection!! That's why she's an ex!!

I'm 41 and have 3 kids. My first ever figure back in 1981 was the Black Bespin Guard - weird first figure but fell in love with Star Wars that very day!

I would like to collect vintage on debut cards - that's the dream starting off with the Bespin Guard on an Empire card

Any tips in the hobby gratefully received.

Hi Scott and Matt, welcome to SWFUK, the greatest forum in the collecting world. Have fun. You've taken your first step into a larger world.

Hi all,

I should have posted this a long time ago, but better late than never!

It's great to be part of this forum. I consider myself a long term collector having started my collection in the mid 80's. Did the bulk of my collecting in the mid 90's, took a long break and then back with a more serious tone in 2012 to finish off some goals. I'm fortunate to have covered most of my collecting goals now - loose figure set, 96 MOC set and 62 POTF coin set - but I keep myself super busy and in touch with the hobby and community by running http://www.starwarstracker.com.

I love seeing/hearing other peoples collecting journeys and keeping up with the latest news. This year I'm hoping to find the odd bargain here and there, get the most out of celebration in London, and finally get a display case sorted out so I can see my collection on a daily basis instead of being in storage!

Cheers, Jared.

Welcome Jared.

Hope this forum proves to be of great use to you.

Would be great to see some pics if your collection in the vintage showcase section
