Hi Colin, welcome to the forum.

Nice to read that your daughter also love star wars :D Hope to see some great pictures of your collection on the forum

Hi all

Decided to join today, I've been a member of SWCC & RS for a few years.
I'm mainly interseted in vintage SW but also like other vintage 3 3/4" figs.
I am slowly putting together a baggie collection (have 26 thus far) & have a full set of loose AFA (non -U) graded SW figures.
I recognise a few names from other forums & look forward to speaking to others.
Regards (& happy new year)
Mark (conradrithblat) :)

You're not joking, the R2 you've just bought from him is fantastic - totally jealous! :)

Only a couple of figures shy of my 77, but I'm sure at some point I'll crack and go for the last 17 as well! A couple of ships I am after as well

Well that's me been on here for a week now and what a week - have completed my original 77 (cheers Iain) been contacted by some great guys reference b wings and scout walkers, read hundreds of posts about collecting, storage and grading - never liked the idea of U grading but feel a lot more informed now and will never be part of that debacle.

Biggest change for me is moc collecting though - only ever considered getting a few figures carded because of the expense, I wrongly assumed that if I was going to go down the road of carded they would have to be mint, graded and absolutely perfect but after going through so many threads covering displays and items for sale and trade it's obvious the most important thing is how the figure makes you feel when you look at it. Doesn't matter if they are punched, dinged, creased or torn if it hits the nostalgia spot it's worth the money. Saying all that my holy grail is still a mint R2 12 back

In short - in the year that I have promised my wife that I wont spend money on SW figures joining this forum was a big mistake
Colin
