I'm a big dog lover and thought it might be nice to do something for our four legged friends. I saw this video recently (you will cry):

and I read about the great work at http://www.hopeforpaws.org and want to raise some cash so they can continue the good work they do.

So here's the giveaway. If you'd like to participate you need to put in a donation for them. For every $5 you donate you get an entry. No limit. Donate $50 , get 10 chances. I'll collect the funds and 100% will go to them. I'm hoping they may want to participate in the drawing too!!

Winners will get to choose one of the following items which I'm donating:

Okay, I've got an exciting update!!!!!!

We are already at $530 raised!!! That's actual donations in hand, not pledged and coming in. I am so impressed with everyone and their generosity!

We will be unlocking another wonderful prize once we hit $600. This is a pretty amazing donation from James (Ourchickenshack) so please make sure to thank him , Bill McBride (Sithtoys) and JT (Jeston) for being so amazingly generous.

Once we break $600, the following ROTJ 3 Pack will be added!!!

Nikto is a sealed baggie and 8D8 and Klaatu are in the original open baggies. Overall a sweet set!!!!

Thanks so much for your generosity. We are doing great!

I just wanted to make something clear. Edd respectfully asked that I keep this here and not link to any other site. That of course is no problem but I do want everyone to be aware that the totals you see and eventual drawing is an aggregate of SWFUK, RS, TIG and FB folks. I can't see anyone having an issue. However , if you do find it unfair for any reason please just PM me that you'd like your donation back. I will gladly and discretely return it (no public embarrassment).

There are some FAQ's on the drawing that I will also post up tomorrow.

Now a few scenario's have popped up that I want to address.

1) People who Donated Money and a Prize

If you donated a prize and money, you are still eligible to win a prize. The way we will pull winners is by choice of prize. So 1st pulled name chooses a prize, second choses from the remaining, and so on. In theory you wouldn't pick something you donated but, if you did, that's fine.

2) I am participating

I am both a donator of a prize and money. I'm also running this thing. I wouldn't have given a thought to this but I'm still a bit jaded from the Blue Stars raffle and don't want/need commentary if I win something. At $800 it's already 160 entries and frankly writing out the names and such could be tedious. I was going to use http://www.random.org/ and just generate numbers that would be in line with your entries. I'd publish the list in this thread with your numbers. So , for example only, it would be:

Homer - 1,2,3,4,5
Marge - 6,7,8
Lisa - 9,10,11,12,13
Bart - 14
Maggie - 15,16,,17,18,19,20

My only concern is that people may not want people knowing what they donated. I want to respect everyone's privacy. What I would like to do is Email everyone their numbers. I would only post mine publicly since I am drawing. This should keep everything in line. I would like opinions though, so chime in if you feel this is good or bad or if you even have a better solution. I would tape the random.org drawing for all to see

3) Couldn't someone will mulitple prizes

In theory someone could sweep it all , however it's unlikely. At a quick glance (assuming you bought 10 tickets) it's roughly 1 in 16 to the 7th power. If you win two or three, congrats!
