Well I have stopped buying bits and pieces lately and as such I haven't added anything new for a while to my collection and realised I haven't got a group photo of it all...



I took it all out of storage tonight and put it on my desk!

I have my other MOC, loose and customs in the U.K as well as my 90% complete loose collection, which hopefully I will get back soon!

I realise it isn't the biggest collection but I have tried to go for quality over quantity so I didn't end up replacing and upgrading it all in 6 months time.

I ripped off Luis Villagomez with my circles/numbers key so I hope I am forgiven!

that's agreat looking set WSD

I very nearly started an 8D8 focus myself a while back, he's one of my favourite characters :)
 
Gustie- I have a loose LL 8D8 in england but to be honest I can hardly tell the difference :shock:
Apparently the plastic is more defined especially on the back part of the figure and its a duller plastic but as I said it's REALLY hard to tell the difference in my untrained variant eyes!

Spoons- Well you said there were possibly 16 combinations but you factored in arms as well as hips/legs, in fact the circles only appear on the hips so there is only 4 possible combinations!

I have them all baggied, so I don't think I will bother with loose ha ha

Thanks Weasel, unless you got a spare £400 to lend me I don't think I will be buying a Lili Ledy MOC ......ever!
I haven't even found a cardback yet, well tell a lie, I got offered one for £50....pass!
I will have to get Todd or Han to knock me one up instead :lol:

a focus collection needs to be a real passion and long term goal. There are loads of items that i still want for my chewie focus and i know i will have to wait a very long time.

Good luck in adding these new items to your collection.

Is a LL MOC 8D8 that expensive?! :shock:

Considering the last one I saw on RS was about 3-4 years ago selling for $400-500
And also the fact that I can't even track down a cardback..............!!
Any LL MOC is just that damn rare!
I don't even think that Luis Gálvez has a full set and he definitely had a huge collection, and that just goes to show even a Mexican collector couldn't track down a full set MOC.

With regard to value I can't really say as I have not seen one for sale since I have been collecting 8D8 as a focus.

It is possible that there are a few out there still but they just don't come up for sale that often, or if they do they are resealed to the original LL card, even then its still a few £££

That is the great thing about focus collecting, there is always something to hunt for !
I never dreamed I would have trouble finding things but then again it would have been too easy, and, as with other areas of collecting I would have got bored again.

There are some really interesting bits and pieces to find and it keeps me coming back, I have only really taken a small step into focus collecting!

i was lucky to pick up a LL chewie cardback quite a while ago and as with your hunt i am also looking for a MOC chewie LL. I have seen a few come and go and at the time i just coudl not afford it.

I have a bit of money set aside at the moment for my collection for when the right peices come along.

This is what i love about the whole focus collecting. There is always something that you are after - and when that turns up there is something else. My main focus at the moment is to try and get all known Kenner MOCs of chewie. The kellerman matrix has helped a lot in this and i have found 3 new variants of chewie.

Bat - Well, if they all go yellow so be it, it seems to be the torso that is more prone to yellowing as that is the first thing to go in a baggie or MOC but loose sat in the sun it will probably all go yellow!

All of mine are fine so far so I am not that worried, and if mine yellow, so will all the Stormtroopers being collected out there :twisted:



Steve - Thats really cool that you added to John's Matrix! Bet you didn't think you would find something no-one else had documented before!

Nice setup Joe, I'd been curious about what you had for a while. Its a shame the proofs and cromalins are so pricey as they would look great with the figures 8)

Have you got a Jabba's Dungeon set to go with the focus :?:

I think most people were expecting more but there you go lol!!

Money has never been a friend of mine ;)

I had a Dungeon playset before I started focus collecting it was MISB and I bloody sold it lol

Still I will pick another up for the right price :)
 
Oh and what isn't pictured is a custom POTF MOC, another offerless 77bk, 3 Loose (Including my childhood 8D8) and my LL loose.
