White cape carded Bib on Ebay

i aint the card expert but the bubble edging looks wide and square around the top... are some like that?

Guys, it's been AFA graded and authenticated by Tom Derby, so it aint fake!

The seller has had a few high grade pieces for sale recently so I wonder what the sellers real name is? :?

I have seen that before, I think it was some kind of test prototype to see how the figure looked and/or fitted on to the card

The Earth Toy Mall in the US had one for sale a while back. It was just a mock-up as there were no Jedi cards available at the time so they just grabbed the nearest one. I think theres maybe less than five known carded examples.

The white cape wouldn't have stayed clean long with kids playing with it :|

Probably because a bubble didn't exist for Bib at that time they just knocked one up on a vacumn former to get the dimensions right and either glued or taped it down. These would have been done just to give Kenner an idea as to how it would look.

Yeah, its a wonder that we don't see many more of these concept prototypes, In all fairness the manufactures would have had similar problems throughout all the Trilogy. For example IG88 etc. At the time the new characters were new and unseen and at the time would have created a few packaging headaches :lol:

I think that will be 1 expensive carded figure there are some serious die hard collectors out there
