Where will the shitstorm take us from here

These things have been around for years now and as they're clearly marked as a reproduction I've never seen one trying to be passed off as real.

I put this in the same category as the early 90's repro weapons, which isn't to say it's all good but just that it's been around a while now and at least they're not something that's being newly made.......yet!

Look at the back of the last page. It looks like it was given away in a magazine. No mistaking it's a reprint though. It's got Jason joiners name on it.

Still see people picking up the reprint as the real deal though as those auctions just don't show the back of the catalogue.

It says it's an official reprint, if that's true there shouldn't really be an issue with it.

Am i getting it right - reprinted by JJ and co and given away free on a magazine? Looks to have all the permission and so on. If that is the case then somehow in my mind this works out as ok. I mean it's highly debatable but doesn't seem as terrible as the whole Toytoni style of bootlegging or whatever you call it. Not sure why. Something about the whole naivety of 90's collecting :?

I shall now climb into my homemade wicker man and set myself on fire .....

I didn't realise until this thread that this was given away in a magazine years ago. With that in mind I think it's fine as there are plenty of reproduction items in books like Steve Sansweet's one from years ago.

Just got to hope now that someone doesn't do a new run of them......maybe we'll get a bootleg reproduction of the reproduction

It's like there are many layers of reproduction type stuff. Complicated subject matter. With the original magazine this might be a more interesting item.

I better get making my wicker man, as I have one of these ....but it clearly states it's reproduction on the back.... I'll get my coat.......

The POTF catalogue was reprinted from Joiner's collection for the AREA 51 publication too.

I've seen the POTF fool people before on ebay unfortunately..

I don't think the intent was to provide ammunition for scammers but yeah..these days things like this aren't helping matters!

I have seen these sold as original. However it was pretty poorly done. They just used a back marker pen to colour in all the reproduction stuff on the back!!
