Yes mate, had all of it.

I have one room in my house totally dedicated to it.

I have scaled some things down, such as the kenner figures. I don't have enough room to display the 325+ assorted palitoy moc's I have so couldn't really justify the kenner set, especially as they were just repeats. With them going didn't see the point in keeping the POTF, which also weren't displayed, along with the carded ewoks and droids.

All I kept were the VC jawa and 21 back Fett everything else is palitoy.

I have all the vehicles and playsets, but got rid of all the Kenner ones which were identical in palitoy. So kept the unique Kenner ones and the ones where the Kenner version is different.

I'v got a collecting room as well but something tells me it isnt on a par with yours :lol:

On the whole girlfriends have been fine with it. Though the line 'Fancy coming back to my place and playing with my 3 3/4" ' doesn't go down to well. :lol:

My current one is a star wars fan so that's a bonus.

Happy to answer what questions I can, though my knowledge is quite limited.

Its more just to find out how you started collecting etc....just to give me some idea's for future planning,not after knowledge as such more ideas and assistance gaining a foothold in this hobby (it's far more hardcore than other toy lines)

I am in shock 325+ MOCs, and 3 3/4" vs 12" :lol: :lol: Size envy alright No one better mention it's not the size but how you use it that matters. Because only guys with little dicks, and women that put up with a little one that say that :wink:

No worries Stef ask away. Quite a lot of my collecting experience was learnt in Tunbridge Wells 8)

I think at the most I had well over 500 moc. But seeing as I wanted my palitoy stuff on display I couldn't justify having that many figures just sitting in a cupboard.

If, as I hope to do, I move to a much bigger place and have a larger purpose designed display room, I may start to get the Kenners again. I may try for a Kenner Debut set (my original Kenner collection was on Film related cards) As my palitoy set is now a debut set. Years ago that was film related too.

I doubt I'd go back and do the complete POTF/droids/ewoks again, so may well get into proofs.

There really are so many avenues you can take your collecting. Everyone's is different and quite personal to them, which is why I never think in terms of whose collection is better than others...it's all relative.

No but I dated a girl from TW back in the 90's. We discovered 'The Twighlight Zone' shop just up from the town centre, and I bought many a star wars item in there 8)

Sadly it shut down

Sith - I know a guy named wolf from that shop well,that had some decent bits back in the day (transformers especially)

There is a new shop (cosmic cartwheels) which is ok for the basics and every now and then he'l get hold of a few gem's and his prices are reasonable without a doubt.

It is a really nice town and only half hour or so from london and gatwick.
