Where did the word bidded come from? lol

I already know I should not even consider posting in this thread as my spelling & grammar are appalling , but in my defence -

I came to England in 1975 with English being my 2nd language & then was thrust in to learning the British language via I.T.A. [ http://www.omniglot.com/writing/ita.htm ] & things like there/their/your/you're ETC are what I struggle with most in all honesty, funnily enough I seem to have little problem with huge words its the easiest or supposedly easiest words I have the issues with :? so you will just have to keep grinning & bearing my posts or avoid them, as I doubt my grammar is going to improve any time soon or ever, not that it bothers me to much these days as I have enough other stuff I am anal about

The one that really gets me is your and you're

From my teaching days this used to drive me insane but to be honest this is how language evolves and new words get added, just like bidded ( ), d'oh and wag!

Both my daughters come home form school with their reading journals and the teaching assistants have written with the incorrect usage of Your/You're. We also have a family friend who is a newly qualified teaching assistant who cannot spell for **** but passed the course with an A+.

I really ****ing despair its hardly setting an example for my children...

Some of my favourite misspelled tattoos-

"Tomarrow never knows"
TheBest5AwesomeMisspelledTattoos2.jpg

"ONly God will JUGe ME" (a mesmerising display of incorrectness)
Misspelled-Tattoos-Back.jpg

"She fly's with her own wings" (The idiocy involved with this one is arguably funnier than the previous 2. The sentence makes no sense for starters. Her own wings? As opposed to who's? Could she have borrowed wings? :? ).
misspelled-tattoo.jpg

"Live without regets" (good to know)
misspelled-tattoo-2.jpg

Saved the best for last.
"Loyaly will be rewaded"

These spelling mistakes shock me! When i've had tattoos done that require any form of writing, the tattooist always writes it down on a piece of paper and then gets me to check it before we've even sat down!

Just goes to show how stupid some people are, whether it be the tattooist or the person getting the tattoo!

my biggest gripe.is people who type out their posts like this.it really shits me to tears.i can't stand it.i really wish i could reach through my computer and bitch slap them.i mean wtf?is it really that hard to add capital letters and a little spacing here and there?obviously,it is!you get so many twats who construct a post like this it aint funny.what is up with it?some sort of text talk syndrome?i dont ****ing know either, but I don't like it.

I don't think I'll bother posting anything on here ever again there are some members like myself who are dislexic and obviously less educated than you
Guys My spelling and gramma is terrible I didn't relise that it bothered
You guys so much

As long as you can read it, is all that matters really. I can live wth it.
I certainly don't want anyone to bail or feel uncomfortable about posting. I am hopeless myself as far as things go really. Spelling police should be all over my arse.

Lol I didn't mean to start a war of words! I just thought it was funny to see people using the word "bidded"

I don't think dyslexia causes people to invent words does it? Just misspell them..

Not wanting to be rude but if you do spell something wrong, you do realise it shows up underlined in red don't you? You then right click the word and choose the one you meant to type.

I don't want anyone to leave because of a discussion about spelling and grammar either but it's not like making an effort to type a post out properly hurts anyone does it.

The red squiggle of error is only in effect in some browsers, I get it in Google Chrome but not Internet Explorer.

sometimez i poste like joshe says but as logesas u fux cann reed it dat iz all dat matterss.i could pste fore dayz bot dis hre subjuctbut u knowz us dudz from duh stets haz a spl chuck prblems.

I'd get Google Chrome then if anyone wants spelling help
