When is next Farthest From?

Great to catch up with some long time members and meet a few new ones too :)

Another great show and another time where I spent far more than I made!!

Great meeting everyone and good to finally meet Joe and Simon in person!

What a great show!

It was really nice to finally put a few faces to names and chat to a few old friends too. I ended up going home with a nice 12 back DSC (thanks Dave) and a few more acrylic cases (cheers Christian).

Once again FF rocked. The summer show is always a bit more special. Great seeing so many old and new friends, not going to mention names cause I'm sure to miss someone out. I will say though it was great to meet Edd for the first time and have have a spot of lunch with him.

Roll on FF9

I'm terribly sad that I missed this one.

Last Thursday I got a "nice" traffic fine that completely destroyed my budget for FF.

Can't wait till December now.

Seen some pictures and can't wait to see more - looks and sounds like everyone had a great time - can't believe that I missed Joe O's first public appearance !

There is a chance we might be back in the UK in December so if Mr Tree announces a date then I'll do my best to put in an appearance :D

Really enjoyed the whole event, from the Saturday night meet up and curry to the show itself on Sunday, it was really awesome!

It was really nice to finally meet so many of you, everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly (literally every single person I met was super nice) and I owe a huge thank you to both Martin (Lom) and Ben (Mr Shifter) as I wouldn't have been able to make it without their help - so thanks guys!

Absolutely great weekend. So many highlights for me.
I'm so chuffed to have finally purchased something from Dave (Scotty Boy!)
Marc, thank you for the proof trade, you are a good man.
Christian, thanks for the acrylic, your cases are blooming great, and your future products look superb.
It was truly brilliant to finally meet 2 gents who have given so much to this forum, Edd and Joe!
Seeing & meeting with everyone else was a true joy. It is such a privilege to have these events where we can socialise, deal and talk cods hit all night.
Dave Tree, you are an awesome man.
The special guests ST and MR were great company and added a little international flavour to the whole event (Rich H was absent).
I'll never tire of seeing Grant absolutely wasted.
Always a delight to meet up with the podcast boys. The only problem is we get to drunk to do anything positive for the podcast
Thanks Laurence Dyer, i'm looking forward to enjoying my little treat when i have a special occasion.
You guys rock.
Roll on December.
PS, oh and please, we really must get Stu to continue mixing with the locals: 1, Kleptomaniac, 2, Anal prober, 3, Landlord's best friend

Great photos, Jason. Look forward to hearing what was recorded in the next podcast! Whatever it was was fuelled by curry and Sambuca

Legends the lot of you.

So nice to see the usual crew, but also friends I have known for 4 years and have never met.

Its quite apparent that these experiences and friendships are valued more than the hobby that started it.

Big thanks Dave- this has to be one of the best ones.

and it would never of happened if it wasn't for this amazing forum.

Thank you everyone- looking forward to the Christmas one when The Force Awakens

and to those who were unable to make it- you were missed.

Just a quick message to echo what everyone else has said really. It was another corker of a weekend. Always good to meet up with old faces as well as some new. There was a great turnout for both the curry/drink and Fordingbridge had not seen anything like it on the Sunday. The queue was literally round the block. I have never seen it so crowded at opening.

I must say a huge thanks to one of the hobbies most undervalued and undercredited people, certainly here in the UK. Without Dave Trees tireless dedication to promoting both collecting, research and education and just providing us with the means to have a place where we can all meet up and share our passion I don't think this forum would be the same place, nor would such friendships be made and cemented. He has created something great down in a sleepy little village hall in the new forest, and to see it going from strength to strength is fantastic. In this day and age of inflated prices, Facebook heroes and palitoy madness its nice to know that in a quiet corner of southern england someone is striving so hard to show people what this sort of community should be all about. Dave, I salute you.

Cant wait till December.

Sounds like I missed a good one.

Looking at the pictures it looked packed.

Will be at the next one. Bring lots of cash as I may have a load of goodies on a table of my own. Will be trying to make money rather than spending it!!!

I thought the SWF members that couldn't make it might appreciate the names on the group shot so did this quickly:

NAMES.jpg

(And the same one without the names in case anyone wants it!)

group-1.jpg

There are a few people missing from this group shot that were around on the Saturday night, lom + Mr David Tree to name a couple but I think this was probably the only group shot attempted at the pub?

If anyone hasn't made it to FF yet but is able to in the future then you really won't be disappointed. There are no egos, you'll feel like you've known the guys there for your entire life after a few drinks and everyone is made to feel really welcome. I hope I can make the next one!

Im hoping to come to one soon, but it depends if the might hatters are playing and if the time is right. It would be good to put faces to names, and so on.
