What's Your Holy Grail ?

Having recently listened to a Star Wars collecting podcast discuss Holy Grail items, I thought it would interesting to find out what others view as their Holy Grail (even if you don't think it's achievable because of money or availability).

With so many desirable collectibles out there, I must admit I find it hard to decide what would be my ultimate collectible goal but one item I would love to get my hands on would be a minty fresh Early Bird set.

For its this, about 500 times rarer than the EB sets & not likely I will ever have the opportunity of adding one to my collection, but would love it if I did, this one is Patrick O'Brians he pickled together when he was lucky enough to buy the empty box, still a couple of incorrect baggie in it but 99% there.

Mine is simply a Wally on a Star Wars Card (Palitoy would be nice). Bram has a Kenner one for sale ATM I just don't have the funds

Thanks for the great responses so far. It would also be interesting to know what people have gone through if they've already got one of their Holy Grail's. I bet there's some great stories out there.

All my Grail items have been a mixture of luck, disposable income at the right time, or payment plans. Patience is the key unless you're after the uber rare one or two of a kind items.

Ooh there's loads of stuff, but I think the one item I'd really love to have in my collection is a mint MOC ESB card Boba Fett. I'd like all the bounty hunters on ESB cards actually but especially the Fett.

What do you mean, like as far as flying abroad to pick up a grail piece?


For me it's first 12 and mail away stand, which to most collectors is nowhere near grail, but that's the beauty and diversity involved in SW collecting, each collector is usually driven by their own unique criteria.
