The question i pose is "what would you do in his position"?

if i was offered all expenses refunded and the original item i bought for free i would certainly send it back, if if i wasnt offered this i would still send it back, i couldnt knowingly lie and steal something like that, if i didnt have kids i would have paid him a visit too!!

I know the question wasn't addressed to me but I'll answer anyway. I've had 3 parcels sent to me incorrectly. 1 the seller paid for me to re direct it. 2 were from the same seller & meant to go to the same buyer who got my items. We both paid for our own shipping to swap. Didn't give it a second thought. Granted they were 'only' $100 items but I've always said $1 or $1000 ethics stay the same.

I don't usually drop a strong opinion on these situations as there are always two sides to a story...

But this guy is a **** with the morals of a selfish ****, due to this I would suggest ****ing him.

Its getting me angry just thinking about it, who raised him to have such low respect for his fellow man?

Ok! Let me clarify that was an open question to anyone not just Plantman. It wasn't a test of anyone's integrity or honesty. Just intested to see people views...which are clearly pretty strong.

I know I would be happy to return the item if you paid for the P&P and the offer of a free item would be a nice sweetener but unnecessary (but that's just me)

But then again I can speak from experience and something similar happened to me an I actually returned an item sent to me in error. I fact as I type this I recall it has actually happens to me twice. Both times I returned the items. I must be a saint....or a fool!

I once mixed up two parcels, which went oversea's. One of the buyers contacted me, so I was able to track the other one quiet easily.

I simply asked both buyers to quote for shipping to the each buyer and sent them the money.

what an asshole, even if he had not lied, who would u even sell an item they got by mistake instead of telling seller they got wrong item.

Make no mistake if i were to find lots of money on the floor or a mobile phone, im not saying i would hand them in but there are two types of dishonesty and his is the shitter of the two :)

Just post the auction if someone wants to bid on it then it's up to them. At least this way we'll all know who the seller is

i cant post the auction mate as i dont want evidence of what i might be going to do, but i will out him when its over.

its finding someone to do it, so if anyone is up for the job i will pay them, although i wouldnt expect anyone to do it, im hoping my bro in law has a paypal account :)

Buy it on eBay, say it wasn't as described and send him the other item back.

This is what i would do aswell and if he posted it and you recieved it without having to sign for it, then i would even file a claim as item not recieved.
and after all is done, send him a mail (reply to your original mails) with the text "Karma is a bitch".

What was the item?

i sold the original item ages ago, this happened over a year ago but ive always kept a search for it, i dont want to name it so there is no online search picks it up.

the problem is if i buy it he will instantly know its me as ive sent him all my details and abused him via email, so he wont send it.

fully insured :(

i might have an alternative way to get back at him though, im just so pissed off now that he lied, ive looked at the records on his feedback and it was 2 years ago, he obviously thinks ive forgotten!

i want to smash he teeth down his throat.

Ok! I must ask. What was the value of the original item and the value of the one you send in error? I'm sensing quite a significant difference between the two.

Hope your plan works out.

You really need to be careful though because if you do or whoever is doing it for you pays via paypal theres no guarantee that you will get the money back if he empties his account or cant prove nothing
