how much damage you think this would do to collecting.
I dont think kids would go for em over the modern stuff.i guessing they would have to make new moulds so the dates would be up to present date .but what if they just releashed em with no date or coo. Would that push prices p on vintge figs with a coo and date on

Cant see it ever happening John. Interesting thought however.

I dont personally think it would make any real difference though. Vintage collectors are after vintage items. I dont think the majority of vintage collectors would be sucked into buying re makes of old figures. It would just seem..... well... a little wrong. I know I wouldnt be interested in the slightest.

i was thinking if they did em with no stamp .would be a lot of mint no date, coo figs up on ebay .i dont think they would as kids prefer the modern .as for collectors hmmmmm i think i would end buying some but then it kind of questions why your collecting i guess .if that makes sense.

they already did, they made moulds from the vintage figures and sold them as a four pack when they reissued the films in the 90s. As the figures were cast from old figures they were a bit smaller and they had a different date - they didn't sell very well.

They couldn't reissue the figs as they were because the moulds have gone, so any new figs just wouldn't look right

I have notice since the rocket firing fett came out, people are selling the figures loose as a rocket firing fett without stating this is a repro and some would think its the holy grail. I saw a loose rocket firing fett went for 30 odd quid

Here's a fun read.

It happened with vintage skateboards, as the compnaies realised how much vintage gear was changing hands for. Didn't really harm the originals just made a lot more memories available to the guys who haven't got the cash for original vintage gear.

As long as they are clearly marked as modern versions I think it would be pretty cool as a limited run.

from someone who is just after a loose collection ,not bothered about coo,s .if they did reissue em i would have to think should i pay 65 for this yak or get this super mint one for 7.99 .

Like as stated if they re issued the figure it should be marked modern figures. If they reissues just exactly like the old one and stamping them 1980s etc which is so unlikely then vintage collection today would be ruined as nothing would be vintage. Thank god the original moulds are destroyed. Its good to collect REAL vintage with REAL AUTHENTIC feel to it.

It would make finding genuine Vintage SW on Ebay difficult. The market would be flooded with the new Vintage style figures, the Vintage Saga ones already stuff up search results as it is. No Thanks

7.99 per stormie  if tried to add to the army at that price I would be broke .

Actually I could pretend my collection was modern reissue and sell at way more than I paid for it.
Most common vintage figs would still be cheaper than a modern one except the the yaks and snag type ones .
