"Single Stem" bubbles on ESB 45 back cards

All my Palitoy, Parker and Clipper cards, that have or had a "Single Stem" bubble, have those bubble marked with a number from 01 to 015
For example :

"01" and "03" AT-AT Commander, Bespin Security Guard
"02" Cloud Car Pilot
"03" Leia Organa Bespin
"04" Han Solo Original
"012" Death Star Droid
"013" Tie Fighter Pilot
"015" C-3PO Removable Limbs

Panastur Posted the above about blister codes on 45bk cards and it made me think about some of the codes on 65bk & 77bk cards. Below is a list of ROTJ cards that I started to compile and it looks like the Tie Pilot always has code 013A stamped on the blister. Could others confirm for the figures listed above and below that have blister codes if yours also have the same codes across all cardbacks.

Have updated my guide with the ree yees bubble:-

http://www.freewebs.com/mrpalitoy/rotj65acardback.htm

Any idea what the number on the Klaatu bubble is? Got 01?A, any examples?

cheers Jason

Keep those numbers coming :)

Looks like the factory added A or B after each number for the ROTJ wave.

So far it seems only Palitoy cards that have HN on the back have numbered bubbles which I believe HN means they were carded outside the UK. Correct?

My Klatuu has a number but I can't make out the number after the 1. Both my Klatuu and Ree-Yees have the kenner waffle pattern seal.

Isn't HN a factory code, HG, HT, etc.

I'm not sure but it would be interesting to know what they stood for.

Maybe T= Taiwan, G= Germany and N= Netherlands?

They are all far east palitoy factories.

From my guide-

http://www.freewebs.com/mrpalitoy/rotj65acardback.htm

http://www.freewebs.com/mrpalitoy/rotj65ccardback.htm

You can see the letters on the back match up with the Made in.... on the front.

So:-

HN = Hong Kong
HG = China
TJ = Taiwan
HT = only seen on 65A Biker Scout so far, another factory in Hong Kong or China?

cheers Jason

On Palitoy cards I have:

Imperial Commander ESB (Bounty Hunter offer) '01' (waffle pattern seal)
Bespin Sec Guard (Black) (Bounty Hunter offer) '01' (waffle pattern seal)
At At Driver ESB 41back too faint to see...maybe a '0' maybe a '6' (waffle pattern seal)

Imp Tie Fighter Pilot ESB 45b '03' (Toni) (lined seal)
Bossk ESB 45b '03' (Toni) (lined seal)

Luke Hoth 45b (Vectis 18 sticker) '03' (smooth seal)

Ree-Yees 65 (N/N offer ROJ/2 HN) '013A' (waffle pattern seal)
weequay 65 (N/N offer ROJ/2 HN) '013A' (waffle pattern seal)
Klattu 65 (N/N offer ROJ/2 HN) '015A' (waffle pattern seal)
Luke Jedi 65 (N/N offer ROJ/2 HN) '013C' on bottom not right hand side (waffle pattern seal)
Chief Chirpa 65 (N/N offer ROJ/2 HN) '04 A' on bottom not right hand side (waffle pattern seal)

Leia Boushh 65 (Bandolier offer ROJ/2) (wearing helmet) no number (smooth seal) sturdy bubble
Lando Skiff 65 (Bandolier offer ROJ/2) (wearing helmet) no number (smooth seal) sturdy bubble

Let me know if Ive missed anything.

Ok-

I have noticed that single stem is used almost always on SW/ESB but hardly ever on ROTJ Kenner/Palitoy.

If you don't count Kenner SW/ESB/POTF then the single stem MOCs I have from Palitoy= 1 (TFP Toni) Kenner= 3, out of a possible 100ish.

Not a lot of single stem on ROTJ. Maybe everyone knows this already :?

01: ROTJ IG-88 Kenner 77 Back 09 Bubble single Stem (actually bought from TT in the 90's)
02: ESB Dengar Kenner 41 Back 06 Bubble Single Stem
03: ESB At-At Commander Kenner 45 back 03 Bubble single stem
04: ROTJ Luke Farmboy Palitoy 45 Back 03 Single Stem Bubble (UKG:PBP Figure/ESB US Bubble/Palitoy Card) ALARM BELLS

There are another 9 single stem bubbles in the ESB line that don't have numbers. I think all the SW ones have single stem.

Grant the single stemmed numbered bubbles are on Kenner and Palitoy ESB cards from 45 through to 48 backs. 41 backs and earlier (inc. SW) are unumbered

Square numbered bubbles are found on ROTJ Kenner and Palitoy - the numbers should match the ESB cards

Your Luke is a concern, I'm hoping legit random 03 bubbles show up but I'm not holding my breath

Mate- that's all the numbered bubble I have.

The Luke is ******, whether its real or not.

Its either a unique one of a kind exciting discovery
or
A TT that as trickled its way through for years.

Its upsetting, not because of what it is, or the value. Its because I worked my ass off it a **** job to pay for that.

Sorry - I misread you first time

Changed my post but you beat me to it

It really is a pisser all this, yours could be a one off and PBP on 45 back is fine, but Toni has scarred this hobby beyond repair.

I'd almost be happy to eat the loss and let him off if he would come clean with numbers and affected figures

It would save all this endless debate

Andy- I agree mate. There is a professional body that I think could get to the bottom of this in days. Behind the scenes theres a flurry of activity that will hopefully give this an adrenaline injection.

This is a genuine palitoy esb 45b bossk single stem from a vectis auction in 2004.
This bubble is different from Tonis single stem bubble which is unnumbered, taller and narrower.
The number on this bubble is 11.

This is a Toni:-

Have updated my guide with pictures of both:-

In all the years I have been collecting I can honestly say I have never noticed any numbers on bubbles or knew nothing about them until this incident.

Thanks for the extra numbers guys.

Vernon, could you please double check your Chief Chirpa and Ree-Yees bubbles again?

Your Chief Chirpa number of 4 is the same as Han Solo and I would have thought that the ewok bubble would be smaller?
Also your Ree-Yees differs two other examples which have 16A.

Still looking for examples for bubble types 5, 7, 10 & 14.

US Kenner Darth Vader ESB-41D
Factory code S with an 08 bubble.
No pattern on the seal, completelly smooth.

Did someone say Chirpa?
HN as far as I know has the perforated punch & 1/3 circle (HT perf & 1/2 circle)

Kenner 77A (HG) no bubble number

Now for HNs:
Kenner 77a 04A
Kenner 77a (clipper wrap around sticker) 04A
Kenner 65B ? Tsukuda 04A
Palitoy 65A (clipper wrap around) 04A
Palitoy 65A 04A

re 'factory code' ME Macau

Canadian 65A Ree Yees 016A ( lower right hand side of bubble)
Canadian 65A Klaatu 015A ( lower right hand side of bubble(
Palitoy 65A Klaatu- waffle pattern no number ( & one with 015A )
