What was the first SW toy you received/bought as a child?

I remember exactly what the first ship was that I got as I had been saving frantically for it for weeks, I proudly laid down my big blue 5 pound note on the counter in exchange for my Palitoy landspeeder in my local modern toys store in Oadby, I remember oh so well ripping the box pretty much to shreds in my rush to get at my new aqusition so Luke & Ben could go places in style, one of my fav childhood toy memories TBH, still love the landspeeder to this day above all other ships, suffice to say Luke & Ben did a lot of traveling in the next few weeks :D good times!

It was 1978 and I was 7. I was aware the figures were out for awhile. Been improvising with cut outs and Lego and was VERY excited. After many toy shop hunts finally found some for sale in a toy shop on Lymington high street (still there).Unfortunately they only had Ben Kenobis/Jawas left. I really wanted a Vasder, Stormtrooper or R2. I couldnt wait any longer and got me a lovely 12 back Kenobi.

Still got it. Hes got a new cloak and sabre these days but hes my first and I love him.

I got given a Han Hoth and Speeder Bike while I was in hospital by my cousin Will. I think it was 1986.

the first figs I remember were my older brothers Luke 3PO Chewie Snaggle and Hammerhead prob in the late 70s.
He sort of drifted away from getting them and I took over :D

I remember about xmas 81 getting the Imp troop transporter and 5 figures :D

Funy you should mention antiques my Gran was collector of antiques and used to regularly vist auction houses, thats maybe where I get the collecting bug from :D

Cocktail sticks were good for lightsabers for us kids

i was given 90% of the sw figs i had from my cousins, but i really remember getting a klaatu off my mum and being really upset!

Trilogo R2 Sensorscope - still have the figure and the cardback which also is probably the earliest example of a restored cardback as I tried to repaint part of the picture (3PO & R2 standing outside the Hoth bunker) after having ripped the bubble off the cardback with great vigour!

Still, without doubt, my most prized SW possession.

That is actually an awesome carving. I will take four please. 8)

I remember the first time I was exposed to SW was a VHS copy of Return of the Jedi in 1986.

My first figure was a Han Hoth, loved it from the get go (still my favourite) and then that Christmas my folks took me on a shopping trip to Hamleys. I remember there was a life size Ewok and hang glider on the ceiling (it was Awsome) and my pre Christmas haul included an X-Wing, and AT-ST with driver a couple of ewoks and Liea Bounty Hunter - Great stuff, we got back home so late I wasn't allowed to open anything that night so I spent the night staring at the boxes from my bed too excited to sleep :)

Please God give me my old figures back. PLEASE God give me my old figures back! ...preferably mint in the box

Kind of but i had to pay for 'em :? Arrived in the post today - a MOC ESB back Bespin Leia from Bram and a 4-LOM ESB card for resto from Dinnersquadron :p
