As people may know I have been starting my new collection to share with my daughter. However Wednesday is the weekday I get to take her for some dinner. I now have a few figures arrived today, obviously still in their packaging, do i:

a) Let her open these tonight so she gets the excitement of opening them?
b) Open them and put them in the display cabinet so she is surprised to see them?

Something else?!

That depends if you mean original packaging or not :o

seriously though, kids love opening things, leave it to the expert (her)

Haha yeah here you go Phoebe open this £350 MOC

No its just the shipping packaging I have bought some loose figures to go in my cabinet with the Stormie and Biker Scout I bought

Bloody hell, thought we were getting trolled again lol 8)

As it's only shipping packaging  I'd let her open them, it's more fun that way.

Nice way to do things for your daughter btw. Are you collecting mint stuff for her or beaters or somewhere in between?

My kids been filling up her Topps sticker album for The Force Awakens, and every night I've been tucking a pack of stickers under her duvet so she can open them in bed and put them in her album, so I agree it is nice to involve them.

One thing I do on any figures that arrive at my place is that I clean them. Give them a gentle scrub with some hot soapy water which not only makes them look better, but also makes me feel a sense of ownership. Maybe you could do that with your kid as a little ritual to 'welcome' the new figures into her collection. Just an idea from a fellow dad!

Well my daughter asked me to post this for you guys as a thanks, she loves drawing and has been doing manga style pictures for some time. So she did this of a Han Solo:

Please thank her very much for thinking of us. I think it's a great picture of Han Solo and definitely captures him in a Manga style. Top marks!

She has been given "homework" by me to research bounty hunter vintage figures. What versions, prices, variants, etc.

So she will be using here, swca, etc. She loves reading these boards and seeing everybody's stuff!

Hi, I hope this is ok to post -I am working for a company who make online films and we're currently in early stages of production for a short film for one of our clients. The film will feature an impressive build, where by we'll build a Star Wars AT-AT big enough to be an incredible den for a child. We're looking for a child who is a huge star wars fan, and for whom this gift and experience would be really special.

I see you've mentioned that your daughter is a big star wars fan and I wondered whether it might be of interest to you? If so, do get in touch with me and I can pass on more information.Alternatively, if anyone knows of another child who would love this surprise - do get in touch.

To see the sorts of films we've made before, please go to www.rubberrepublic.com

Thanks!
