What is wrong with people?

I think it looks great, if you like the look of having a green turd in an acrylic case that is. Jabba never looks right without his base and he's got three of them for sale. :?

I've never felt the urge to stick my loose items in acrylic cases... Are people doing this because of some random fairy tale made up by the AFA, 'once it's graded, then it will triple the standard price of just being loose.' Or, are some buyers so gullible that they feel the need to be reassured by the condition with a sticker?! Don't get me wrong, yes, there are some loose figures I would recommend being graded for example anything rare, but a bog standard Jabba - No way!

It's f--king horrible plain and simple. Similar there are loose graded Mini Riggs out there that look equally ridiculous. Just my 2 pence worth.

As many know, I am no fan of AFA.

However, I think I'm justified in saying that whether you appreciate AFA or not, the way they have cased that Jabba makes it look like absolute ****.

Ian

I'm all for acrylic - as you know!

But have to agree with Ian - this just looks ridiculous - I bet AFA were rubbing their hands together when some twonk asked them to grade this - Jabba is a 15GBP-20GBP figure all day long - even the complete playset goes for about 35GBP - so who in their right mind would pay nearly 150GBP to have one in a case.

Now is you had the full play set cased up then I think that would look great - but this is ****

Agreed, the full set cased up would be great, pretty sure I could do that without the help of the afa though.

None sold - says it all really.

And wtf is he going on about - 10 months to get items graded from AFA? That's bullshit (unless he lives on Mars) ...

AFA probably spent 5 months deciding how much they could get away with charging this numpty.

Agreed. That looks awful.

I do think encased MOC's and Boxed vehicles/playsets look good and can protect the card/box from damage. Loose figures I was always a bit meh about when it came to acrylic, but loose vehicles, mini rigs, or Jabba what's the ****ing point? Every single example I have seen has looked ****ing shite. It's not as if AFA are cheap either, and Ian said Jabba is neither a 'rare' or valuable figure so WHY?!?
