what happened to your childhood collection

I remember taking them (along with all my other old toys) to the tip in Brighton, must have been about 1990. I remember some guy sifting through it all as soon as we chucked it on the pile.

It's a shame I don't have them any more for nostalgic reasons, but they were all completely trashed so wouldn't have been worth anything!

All the figures and vehicles my brother and I had are still here. Totally trashed but that's pretty much a given!

A few years ago now I went into my loft and pulled a box containing all my (50) figures and weapons mixed in with some Action Force and G1 Transformers. I also had a huge packing box with a millennium falcon, rebel transporter, speeder, at-st, Jabba (in his box), and a complete Ewok Village. I sold the AF and Transformers to fund my star wars collecting.

I was so happy everything I had was still in nice condition as it forms the basis of my now near-complete loose collection.

The only major thing I did not have as a child was the at-at and I have rectified that now!

My mother sold all my old toys at a carboot sale,i had loads of star wars,he-man and transformers in the loft.
The worst thing is she asked me if it was ok to sell them and i said yes !!DOH!! it was during the dark years though.
I wonder where they are now???

You probably bought some of them back :lol: :lol: :lol: i swear i recognise a stormtrooper i just got :mrgreen:

Mine are in one of three places

1. Tip
2. Buried in the garden
3. down the well


I tried searching the loft but there wasnt anything there

i have my figures from a child still in old tin! they are seperate to my collection although my han solo in carbonite is on display! he spent many a day in the my mums freezer when i was little in his carbon block :lol: . I still have my at-st and restored to its former glory by buying spare parts of ebay. my childhood falcon i threw away recently it was just the shell and broken. i also tried to repair my old at-at but that was beyond repair so i bought another one of ebay
