What films should Hollywood make?

Logan's Run TV series was brilliant - and the film wasn't too bad either. They ought to re-run the TV series again - might have to check to see if it's available on DVD... :)

For films, I'd really like to see an authentic, true to the book, version of The War of the Worlds - that could be well good...

A Dune remake could be ace. 8)

Leisure Suit Larry. **** my brown dog sideways...Haven't heard of that since primary school

dune should be left alone that was a classic! as should bladerunner! for ffs totalrecall has just been remade and released i think, that should of been well left alone! its got colin farrell in for godsake awfull actor, apart from in bruges (quality film).

trouble is these day hollywood just keep rehashing/rebooting old classics and make them worse, they remade the thing a couple or years back, awful! i did how ever quite like the startrek reboot apart from the new spock!

Was that not what Deep blue sea (or whatever that **** Samuel L Jackson film) effectively was?

Sorry my friend but comparing Deep Blue Sea to Jaws is, in my eyes, an insult and i challenge you to a duel!

Oooohhh I don't disagree, I love the original, as I said it is a classic, I just think that with a proper budget and a decent director it could end up on a par with LOTR's. The actual plot and storyline are up there, in terms of depth and originality, with anything else out there. I just think it's a shame the original film is left marginalised as a cult classic rather than being a mainstream classic like it deserves to be. You may be right though, given Hollywood's ability to **** things up it would probably be horrible.
I agree about Bladerunner. Heard Ridley Scott talking about making a sequel!? :?

Seen a trailer for Total-recall and whilst I liked the original the new one looks quite good. Ok anything can look good in a trailer.

Lol, Jaws was another classic, I just meant was Deep blue shite, not an attempted modern version of the shark terror idea? I agree there is no comparison though. He says looking for his duelling pistols

They should try and make Rogue Trooper as they seem to have shelved the film for now. Cant beat a genetically modified, blue-skinned elite soldier and his dead comrades in microchips that have been placed in his gun, backpack and helemt.

Looks like they buggered up another chance to get Judge Dredd right : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aZjbAkwVis

Hope I'm wrong!

Keeping on the comic book theme, always thought Lobo would make an awesome flick.

wipeout! remember the game for ps1/ps2. space ship racing! that would make a great film
anotherworld! a classic scifi game for the amiga 500/600 that would make a cool film also.
leisure suit larry! another amiga game would make a good sex comedy

Leisure suit Larry could be fun. I remember playing LSL in my room and worrying my dad would come in and catch me (16bit tits on the Atari ST, I remember playing LSL2 and my mate ringing up an enormous bill phoning up one of those premium rate help lines to finish the game.

'Hey Dork! you got toilet paper stuck to your shoe'

While your on games of that era for films, Defenders of the Crown could be done. I always wanted to see the 'her gratitude turns to love' scene on the big screen.

That leads me on to Defenders of the Earth, this could be awesome (master of magic spells and illusions  )
