Great post Andy.
I'm glad we have had this thread. Glass half full people, glass half FULL!

We forget this sometimes, glass half FULL.
This thread is so much more uplifting than the opposing one running at present.
I think someone once sang "always look on the bright side of life"... all together now. :D

I just love Jez.
I love his Jeremy beadle hands.
I love his substantially tiny head compared to his body.
I love his head which in the wrong angle in the sunlight can blind.
I love his cheery smile when being insulted.
he is amazing.

The people in this hobby and getting together for events, what its all about, best part of the hobby. FF is so important, great memories.

Jez is the man isn't he! :D I think he deserves a special prize or something. Jez is the face of British Star Wars collecting.

As they say about Arnold 'Ace' Rimmer - "what a guy!" 8)

Easy, the friends I've made over these past 5 years.

I've made some fantastic friendships and had some great times - Celebration last year being the best so far. Meeting up at Farthest From and Echo Live, getting pissed and talking shite with some sound fellas.

Collecting BITD was done almost in solitude, this is my third 'era' of collecting and easily the best because of the people I've met.

This ^^^

See you later on tonight for our Midland lads' piss up :-D

I've been saving this thread until I had time to read it properly. Pleased I did. I agree with everything that's been said. I think for me, I've been attracted to collecting at a point in my life where everything else seems very serious, work, life, etc. I look around and everyone seems to very busy wrapped up in work and commute and general living. Star Wars takes you back to fun and carefree times. The forums, Facebook groups and meet up's are all great. Whether it be meeting up and buying a budget MOC at Farthest From or laughing at someone's holiday pictures of a Wampa on the beach... ultimately I collect because it's fun. Can't beat it.
