What Are Your Top 5 Cardback Pictures?

Nice idea for a thread Pete and a very tough call to make

As I chum the ESB cards the most they will figure prominently

Got to agree with Soren on a couple here

1: Hoth Rebel Soldier, the whole Hoth thing and memories of childhood blowing them to bits on the Imperial Attack Base
2: Leia Bespin either the looking or later version, she just looks fit which is as good a reason as any
3: ATAT Commander,bit of Hoth and ATAT on this card,quality!!!
4: Tie Pilot, again a lot going on here with the Falcon,bit of an iconic pic with the Tie Fighter basting it
5: Han Bespin,no other reason than it was one my my fave figures from when I was a lad

Yeah i like the Power Droid one too for some reason. I guess cos it gives you a real good look at the character, arguably for the first time.

Great thread Pete

1) Jawa- the reason I became a Jawa focus collector- I just love the picture.
2) Fett fireball card, specifically the toy fair mock up without text and different fireball graphics.
3) POTF Yoda. Like the focused image of Yoda- on the earlier cards he is a little lost in the background. On this one he stands out.
4) Biker Scout always liked this one. No particular reason
5) Uzay Imperial Gunner. This card made calculators cool. Forever.

It is difficult because I think certain one look better because they have a certain logo or film title on them. Though I think htat's more to do with focus rather than the actual picture.

I definitely like the original R2, Han and Luke Pictures. R5 D4 and Power Droid too.

I sort of like the oddness of some of the cantina creatures mainly walrusman and Greedo

In no particular order - although R5 wins

R5-D4 - The picture is straight from the film and has lot's goiing on in it - classic vintage at it's best 8)
IG-88 (Trilogo) - Odd choice I know, just think it looks really cool
Boba Fett (Desert Scene) - Fett in action and that desert blue sky
Tie Fighter Pilot (Trilogo) - Looking at the pic you can almost here the noise the fighter makes :lol:
Power Droid - The colour scheme on this one

Don't think I can narrow it down to five - a lot of the first twelve have awesome pictures - Han, Luke, R2, 3PO, Sandpeople. It's a lot easier for me to list the TERRIBLE pictures used on some of the cardbacks:

Walrusman - WTF going on here?
Hammerhead - a very grainy shot
Snaggletooth - not too bad but looks like he's in a medieval castle or something
FX-7 - awful
Leia Bespin (A card photo) - looks as if it's been bleached in the sun
White Bespin Guard - grainy photo
Bossk - a little blurry
R2D2 (Sensorsope) - bloody bluescreen crap!
Rancor Keeper - looks like an on set continuity photo
Nitko - looks like the dope is going to fall over
Rebel Commado - looks like he's taking a **** outside the Endor bunker
Prune Face - looks like it's been drawn
Amanaman - taken in the props department it seems!

I see what you mean - it just looks to me that they didn't know what to do with him (probably didn't have a shot of him from the film) so just thought - ahhh, we'll stick him floating in space!
