Interesting, I think in the future more characters in the movies will get names. In the future we will maybe see all characters in the star wars movies have names.

Yakface is now called something ridiculous like Sally Mary. The endless retconning of extras is hard to keep up with.

I mentioned it before, but my favourite will always be the Skippy the Jedi Droid - the story of R5D4....

One day, R5 removed his restraining bolt with the Force, and Force persuaded the Gamorrean guards to let him leave. Skippy wandered the desert for days in search of his destiny, until finally he was picked up by a Jawa sandcrawler. There he had visions of Darth Vader and Princess Leia, and met R2-D2 and C-3PO. Eventually the Sandcrawler stopped, took all the droids out, and lined them up side by side in front of Owen Lars and Luke Skywalker. Skippy immediately sensed the Force in Luke, and persuaded Owen to choose him. Skippy was ecstatic at the undoubtable destiny that lay before him and Luke.

I think Kenner just got the names mixed up when Lucasfilm sent photos/info across to them.

The kinky dude in leather and bondage gear will always be 4-Lom to me.

In a toy sense I cant see why real names are needed but maybe so for movies if character will play a big part even though I dont like it. You can see why yak face and hammerhead and walrus man had been given names because the toy names were just based on their appearance but I see no reason at all to change the names on these characters, are both klaatu getting a name.
Pork jenkins is a stupid name based on appearence so y not justcall him fat ****.
