As you've probably noticed, the ads at the top have stopped working. My whole Google Adwords account has been shut down (which generates cash from both this site as well as a few others I own) due to 'pornographic images' appearing on this site. I know which image it was and who posted it.

Google rejected my appeal as this is the second time it's happened, and have permanently removed my ability to place ads on any of my websites.

I'm sure you all think it's a big joke despite asking politely not to post this stuff, but I'm really pissed off about this as over £50 of revenue has been frozen that I now will not get, and across all my sites I regularly earned £50-100 per month from the ads, which helped pay towards this site as well as the others I run.

As you know there aren't many rules here, so I'm not happy that just about the only rule there was has been ignored, and as a consequence is going to cost me hundreds of pounds a year in lost revenue.

I feel your rage Chris but I am not sure if a name and shame is the way to go as some of the newer members may be oblivious to this rule (unless it was my busty Ackbar pic ).

Sorry to hear this Edd and I for one don't think it's a big joke at all.

I enjoy this site immensely and I think from time to time members need to remember if it wasn't for all your hard work none of us would be on this forum exchanging banter, buying, selling, laughing, arguing etc and generally reliving our childhood through the toys we loved and still love.

IMO there have been a few risky pictures of late and I'm no prude, but come on guys let's keep it clean and decent for Edd's sake and the forum's sake. Like Edd said there aren't many rules and the one rule there is has been broken again.

Let us know if we can help Edd (but I fear the horse has already bolted)

Thanks guys, unfortunately it will make no difference now as once an appeal to Google is rejected you're effectively banned for life from using their advertising. Not ideal for somebody who makes websites for a living! :evil:

I guess the one positive is that now it doesn't matter as it can't be undone. Maybe I'll make a secret jazz area and charge people for entry :lol:

Edd, that's harsh mate. I for one would be happy to make a £1 annual donation towards offsetting your loss revenue. With over 2200 members (I know most aren't active ), you could put the rest to site development, or whatever.
Of course, I can't speak for us all.

Really sorry to hear about this. I spend more time on here than on any other site and I hate that you feel let down by the guys you provide so much for.
I sure you don't want to charge us for enjoying this site but don't think it would be unreasonable for most members to send a wee gift payment once a year to show our appreciation. When it comes down to cost against time spent on here you're miles better value than any dvd, blu ray or magazine.

Shocked that Google can do 2 strikes and a lifetime ban but never mind that, it stinks that you're losing out personally for putting up a great website for so many people.

Perhaps an optional gift-type thing would work - I'd also be happy to chuck in a few quid every so often.
