Got this idea off a guy on Instagram. Did some in LA (La La Land) and San Diego (Some Like It Hot) last January, and then in Hong Kong (Enter The Dragon) in October. Anyone done similar, especially with Star Wars locations?

I've visited the Ghostbusters locations in NYC... spook central, tavern on the green & firehouse and the Rocky steps in Philadelphia.. never got round to finding Mickys Gym ..ran out of time.

Never did any scene photos like yours though... they are great.

Great shots there Stormcab. Did you have the movies with you or did you know them so well you just knew where to stand. :D

I'm a big fan of recreating a movie scene too although I've never been clever enough to get the exact angle.

Here's me at the Coliseum doing my best Chuck Norris impression with a buddy years ago (please note my Chuck Norris fact Tshirt, these were all the rage at the time!).

Nice one mate. I have been to Thetford where they filmed Dads Army.

The film stills are available online, or you can see clips on Youtube and screenshot a still.

The guy I copied is on Instagram. Think I discovered him when Buzzfeed brought him to world attention. He has nailed the angles. It's very difficult to get it just right, as you have no idea the exact distance, height, and more importantly - camera lens https://www.instagram.com/phil_grishayev/?hl=en

Yeah went in 2003. I think I heard the site isn't the original, but a recreation. I haven't looked into that though. What jumps out when you're over there as so many people dressed in Jawa/Obi-Wan outfits lol. Obviously a lot of the design ideas came from the surroundings.
