Fantastic, it's that poor it looks like it predates Star wars by 10 years

That is wierd and does look like a space 1999 x wing hybrid

Is it vintage die cast size or bigger? The guns look like they are from a large scale x wing, but I guess it's smaller than a regular x wing

When Tod an Joe have finished playing 'hide the bootleg' I'd be most grateful if one of you could answer the above

Until then have fun

Sorry just got home for the day.... It's longer and thicker than a standard Xwing, and the wings are about the same.
I can take some side by side comparison pics later tonight if you want to see.

Cheers
Joe

Thanks Joe, I'd appreciate a comparison shot. I had the corgi Space 1999 craft as a kid and always thought it would be great if there was larger version - should have gone bootleg :)

What about the Mattel Eagle One? Guys didn't get that over there?

Cheers

I don't remember it as a kid, but now you mention it I have seen it as an adult. As far as I remember Mattel wasn't big over here until the 80s and even then it was more of a girls brand (and hot wheels).

I do remember mork and BSG figures so I don't see any reason why the Mattel eagle one wasn't sold here, I just don't remember seeing it ever, even at 90s boot sales

I had the large Mattel Eagle one...............the figures sucked. Threw it off the roof of the house one day because I thought it would fly................It didn't.

Haven't had time to dig out a loose Kenner X-Wing to do that comparison shot yet,but.... to distract you with something silly until then we have the Space Wars brush set:

I might be able to find one for you, there's a guy that I got one from recently for someone else that'd been looking for one for years. The seller is the kind of guy that tends to have multiples. I'll email him and ask if you're interested.

Cheers
Joe

That Darth Vader Boxer is great, looks like something from Punch & Judy :D

Come to the Darkside Luke, that's the way to do it!!
