Hi there,

so I have been collecting the first 12 vinatge figures for sometime now, well just 1 year :) . The thing is I cannot bring myself to purchase the Han Solo figure, each to their own I know but personally I just cant stand the mould for this figure. To me it just looks so out of place.

I know I will have to bite the bullet on this at some stage but I still have avoided spending any cash on the Han Solo one. I'd rarher buy another C3P0 or whatever than get the Han Solo.

So does anyone have a pet hate of any of the first 12 that they just cannot stand spending the money on , or is it just me ?

Please let me not be alone lol

Stephen

yes u can open up as wide as u like

the ewoks ......

only figure i really dislike is boba fett or as ive seen written recently BORA fett   mostly because ive been put off by the worldwide masses who have completely overdosed on him esculating him into biblical proportions , its all you see and hear boba this boba that and its scunnered me . hes like the song you hear too much eventually ye wanna scream !
the boners collectors and fans have over him are way over the top imo its mostly bandwagon jumping tho one of which i wont be jumping on lol , ahhhh rant over -------------------- i think

I think Han is one of my favourite figures. He looks nothing like the real character in the film but for me the crappy sculpts are part of the charm. I like his cowboy bent arm and skinny legs :) As mentioned maybe you would prefer the sculpt of the pin-head one? Or if it bothers you that much just buy the ROTJ Endor Han and take the cape off!

Must admit I love the Solo figure too, one of my most played with figures as a child. I always preferred the small head version of the figure.

I was never an ewok fan either but figures are ok. My hate would have to be Anakin as a toy, as a child I found he had no playability at all.

I have no hate for any of the 1st twelve figs. I also do prefer the pin head han  I do think the Death Squad Commander was a random pick for the 1st 12, I would have preferred Greedo.

Still Iconic :D

Got to say I'm only into the large head one as that's what I had growing up, I didn't even know the pin head version existed until about 5 or 6 years ago. That said though I never thought the sculpt was all that but it's just what I ended up getting used to.

Poor large head Han

Am in the same boat Ian! Had no idea of the original pin head Han until I seriously started collecting in the mid 90s :?:
Actually love both versions but due to my childhood memories I favour the large head 8)

I don't care much for Anakin or Dignitary, so boring one would have liked to see them with cloth gowns or even have Anakin with a luminous feature so as to show a ghostly feature

Going from a play scenario, cloud car pilot was always a cool double agent. I used to team him up with his fellow pudding bowl helmeted friend the Star Destroyer commander. Like Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield of the Star Wars universe.

For some reason I couldn't bring myself to play with Han pinhead Solo, and black Bespin bloke would team up with Chewie in the falcon for a variety of surreal adventures usually involving Lando and R2. I never had an Imperial Shuttle but Darth used to love his snow speeder.
