Vectis Museum Sale

I think I have picked up the han 12 back palitoy for 750 plus fees so if I have will be quite happy with that the bubble is not perfect but fairly good and a couple of creases but overall a nice card. Just hoping it is mine because not showing yet on the site.

I brought a lovely Master Replica Saber hilt (I know, its not everyone's cup of tea, but I personally like them) Please PM me if anybody is going or collecting - Of course I will sort out some money for the time and hassle... Otherwise I'm looking at a 2 and a half hour drive to collect them myself.

Or you just accept their reasonable p+p charges.. :D

Bought from Vectis before? Can be up to 3 weeks to wait for delivery. Fair play, they're getting better, but it's still a wait and with some items it's certainly best to get hand delivery if at all possible.

I agree, it's not the wait for me, its about the vulnerability of the item.
I'd be more than happy to drive up myself and collect items on behave of members Monday. I have 2 weeks booked off Starting Saturday, so if people are happy for me to collect their items on Monday and post them out on Tuesday then let me know :) I only thought if anyone lived nearer and won anything today / tomorrow they could have collected my pieces, but as I say, more than happy to make the drive Monday and collect (but obviously as long as you've already paid for your item/s  )

Was some lovely pieces but must be a lot of lotto winners into vintage
Think I managed to get a Hoth Stormtrooper

What did the bootleg Force Beam sabre go for??

Not sure but a mate got one off eBay complete, almost mint for £45 a few weeks ago, so anything north of that and they've had their pants taken down.

Well I bid £50 and got out bid this morn. I weren't going to go crazy and wasn't confident on condition going by Vectis's choice of words in the description :!: :!:

Soz am just picking myself up off the floor
£21000 for the Fett so plus the 24% that's £26040 or £26250 if we r talking the max 25% "Invaluable" fees

What did the bootleg Force Beam sabre go for??

Over £100 I think , was going to go for it , as I had 1 as a kid , but not at that price

Yeh it wouldn't surprise me well over £100! I also rem it as a kid so nostalgia for me too 8) As I say due to poss condition etc I liked it at £50+fees but not more :? Besides I maybe in line for a mint one in the future

Well, I just put in some bids for tomorrows lots, six items, and already I'm outbid on all six.

That's me out.

What are you after? May be worth putting a WTB up, as plenty of people sell cheaper than vectis - not much of this stuff is actually 'rare'.

I have actually posted a few WTB on the wanted forum, but I've not had one single response for any of them. I can only assume nobody reads the forum, because they've been the easiest of requests to fill.

Personally, I think its great news for the hobby to see people are willing to pay these prices on a regular basis.

It proves that some of us made some good decisions investing into SW many many years ago, and even investing in the last 10 years we have seen prices rocket higher and higher.......keep these new collectors coming..... :D

Regarding the Meccano Fett, it started at 18k on a commission bid, then a room bidder was in at 19k, then the commission bid and net took it to 21k.......a great result to see...

Congratulations to Vectis for again making a great Auction come to life and for making a new world record. :D

Im sure the unknown vendor will be a very happy chappy today...!

Will I had to give him some words of wisdom

I'd love to hear the conversation with vectis.. I do wonder how many fools like that chap drive up prices needlessly.

what i don't get is, the person is an adult, so surely you read up on all the fees etc before bidding? and you'd only bid what you want to pay.

They are adults, but I remember when I sold a chunk of my collection on eBay last year, I put in bold "THERE IS NO BIN, SO PLEASE DON'T ASK" yet I'd get constant "how much will you take for it now?" emails.

Some big prices, thought the palitoy 12 backs were mostly decentish price for recent market. Decent Han 12 back, at about 750 I think- not a bad price? DSC prices half what they were with the splurge of them in the market. I bought a bootleg stormtrooper, missed out on everything else, probably just as well.

There were only about 10 people in attendance. When it sells to the floor that doesn't just mean people actually there.

I will be going either Thursday or Friday to pick items up that I can bring to FF (if I can beg the gf who is in a foul mood with me to let me go) or post as desired.

I have bid on the han palitoy 12 back my bid was 800 pound but when I log in its not telling me if I have won or not I put the bid in during the live auction is it common for it not to tell you if you have won or not immediately do you have to wait till the following day. This might be a daft question but I have never bid at vectis before and don't really know how it works any advice would be appreciated. Thanks tony.
