Vectis Museum Sale

Those foreign cards going for mental amounts, even just Ewoks. The LL Biker Scout with lifting bubble went for a £1900 Hammer.

Will be the first Vectis I won't have bought anything. The Prices have gone past any form of sanity.

Another auction with insane pricing, why is a Trilogo Klaatu worth £90 + fees?

Haha, a mere 10 times what I paid for mine last year, and I know somebody on FB picked one up for £80 recently. ****ing morons.

Whoever this seller is has had all their good karma land on one day, I've never seen an auction before where almost every item not only goes for top dollar but stupid money. It never bloody happens to me

Their website is awful, 4 in a row of lots rolled back, no idea if I'm on the right lot now.

It's a good job I talked myself out of driving there this morning because by now I would have left... Us mere mortals wouldn't even be able to purchase the cracked, creased and dented MOC's.

I'm watching these prices but not believing them. I thought it would be hit by being post Celebration but it's quite the opposite.

If anyone was in any doubt about how Brexit and the ****ed up pound will affect the UK market look no further than today's sale. I bet a record amount of these items are going abroad. The HH Hybrid is just stupid. And yes, that split bubble pale face AT-AT Commander (edit for Lom!) really did hammer at £440. And as for the split bubble Han Hoth/Han Bespin card: £340! Makes my new Biker/R5 messed up bubble seem an even better buy at £40.

I'm actually quite relieved. i won't be spending any money today. Look forward to seeing loads of items being suddenly listed on eBay with the line "one of these recently sold at auction for xxxx"

Yep the knock on effect is the real problem, these selfish people throwing money at things don't care about pricing other people out of the market I'm afraid.

Yep, this is the knock on affect and whilst most of us here are clued up enough give such auctions a wide berth, there's plenty of newbies who will fall for it.

That Meccano Fett was stunning though :)

utterly ridiculous the prices some of these lots are going for.The phrase more money than sense is adapt here.Money is being chucked around like confetti.

Many very high priced items are going to the floor there must be some super rich folks there present.

look forward to Richard h comments.

wonder what prices the palitoy employees stuff will go for.Judging by the crazy prices this morning lots have achieved.

even loose stuff is going for silly money.
