OMG!!!
I'm well off the pace then... I thought with an estimate of £2-300 I'd put what I thought was a mad bid (almost double the top estimate), it was very badly torn and had edge wear and a whole corner missing (cut) and it still hit OVER a grand including fees...
Foreign Han... I'm going to sadly admit I'm probably never going to get one.
Lom said:I guess I can understand bidding on 55 lots so you don't miss a deal, but hasn't that potentially just bumped up a **** load of items for everyone else to pay for?stormcab said:I bid on 55 lots, just enough that I didn't miss a deal. I was really after 2 items, one of which I knew I had no chance of - the Italian DSC. Yeah no way I was paying £1375. Although I bid a good amount.
I however got my boy - AFA Graded 85 41A AT-AT Driver. £360 (£450). One of these with the exact same grade sold recently on eBay for $1500. RESULT.
Very nice AT-AT Driver though - thought about that one myself as it would have been an upgrade on mine but it went too steep for me. Glad a forum member got it though!

£1100 for Luke and £850 for Chewie.

Jabba the Hutt play set and after a long time looking eventually got a Jawa Sandcrawler .
I thought a lot of the lots went very high even compared to the last auction

it's a fair point to bring up, but impossible to avoid in an open auction. I know others that put lots of bids in and only came away with a couple of items. I assure you though, my bids are well below what I know something is worth. The pop up R2 for example. I put £100 on, it went for £220 I believe. To be honest, I've not seen this discussed on the forum, would be good to know if it's frowned upon.
