Vectis - 15th April (someone there ?)

Thanks for the link, Mr. Bob A. Feet, now it finally works on my computer, for some reason. :-)

Luckily not teaching at the moment so have now managed to log on an watch it live.

Any one have prices on anything so far.

Was wondering how much the Palitoy ROTJ Luke was worth

Vectis take no responsibility for non-genuine items. So if you pick up an item with photocopied instructions or repro inserts there is no comeback.

You'd think I was making it up but it's here in black and white...

Unfortunately for them if you take it to court they will lose, just ask Christie's. I really am not impressed with Vectis at all.

It seems that a lot of the stuff is going well over its value too.

Not sure which Luke you're talking about but the ROTJ Bespin Luke went for around 160 I think! and the POTF Jedi Luke went for 260 I think, hard to keep track and there's still 700 to go for my bid! and if you mean't the expensive Palitoys no seen any come up yet!

Villain Set 3 Pack sold for £2000. It's hard to tell from the live, but it seems like most items have a high starting price and then sell for that price rather than being bid up?

A YPS Stormtrooper with regular Kenner gun and the comic sold for £280. Christ, I remember seeing them sell for less than £100 last year and that was with the correct gun.

As said the IT is a joke, just logged on to try a live bid & I can't even get on to the auction, what a farce, **** em, not even going to bother now as the prices are stupid as are the fee's, hell some of the woolies 8 packs have Kenner baggies with them FFS, they only came with either lose or palitoy baggies, but the seller assures them the items are correct for the packs as they came - pull the other one!

It was just an original Luke Palitoy ROTJ 65 back.

45 back went for top end of estimate, sorry missed the 65 back and can't scroll back far enough, guess you have to wait! :p

Ok there is also some good prices, meccano R2-D2 £90  Damn I should have bought that one.

Not to worry. Just found out it was £220!

Ewok cuddly toys on sale at the moment, who collects these things?! Yes, they're Star Wars... but they're still cuddly toys.

I like this auction simply because there is such a wide range of stuff here. Not just the usual MOC/vehicles kind of auction

I'm enjoying it also and if I don't win my solitary bid I ain't too fussed and it's a good learning process for the next one, leave the proxy bid go live and with the flow! :)

There are always a couple of unexpected bargains, you really have to be there to be in with a chance of picking them up (or proxy bid on everything and risk winning the lot  )

It does illustrate what I diverse hobby Star Wars collecting is.

Personally if I had the room/money, there would be so many things in this auction I'd have liked simply for their quirkiness!
