What do you think of this one? To me the figure looks ok but cape looks the wrong colour but he says it's all original. Why would you list such a valuable figure with such a shitty pic? Opinions please as I'm considering bidding on this one if I can get better pics out of him. Thanks Ryan

He's cheekily suggesting it's a Toltoys VC Jawa (splotches on arm, Ben coloured cape) hoping people will fall for it. Wouldn't trust him though because as you say, why only one shitty pic. Massive red flag.

Here's some extra pics the seller emailed me. Hmmm  Don't know the finite particulars of VC Jawa's but it doesn't look right to me.

Yeah I thought so, there just seems to be so many variants I'm not up to speed with just wanted to check first. He said in the email this is how it came outta the packet when his folks bought it for him for christmas in the 70's. Obviously bullshit. Thanks Heaps

Utter bullshit, thats laughable.

Somebody might buy it, hopefully not. and what the hell has gone on with the armholes lol

He's pulled the Auction and reckons he's going to get it AFA graded? Either he's utterly full of **** or he believes its real.

The only good thing about that listing is that those pics verify that it is not genuine and it is defo a cut down ben cape, totally wrong shape, so hopefully everyone can see that noww.

What exactly makes you guys think this is not a toltoys jawa ?
I have been comparing it to the one i have and apart from the extra damage on mine i see no difference.
the colour is correct .
the armholes are a bit stretched out,but if you look at how far they are stretched they will be a lot smaller if you flatten the cape.
The cape is a bit longer than a regular vc as it is supposed to be.
I can see no evidence of the cape being hand cut or any siccormarks.
As far as i can see it has the little details on the corners that you would normally look for on this sort of cape.
The rips on the armholes look like rips, not cuts.
The seller lives in Australia.
I understand shitty pictures are not a good way to sell an item like this, but as a buyer i love these sort of listings ,you can always ask for more pictures while other potential buyers get scared away.
The price may be over the top at the moment, but before it was pulled and relisted
there was nothing wrong with the starting price.I have seen these discoloured figures sell naked for $150 + and a vc jawa eaten by mice for $200 !
You can never be 100% sure just by looking at pictures but since the OP asked for opinions here's mine :
I'll bet my boomerang it's real and if it's not the seller deserves at least some credit for making a really good fake :)

Im no VC Jawa expert but Im certainly not in the habit of giving credit to anyone producing fakes whether they are "considered" good or not.

Totally agree with Chris....I really good fake usually means someone has just scammed you out of a **** load of money! He doesn't deserve credit....
