My opinion on this (for what its worth), I really dispair about the U Grade situation, particularly in situations such as this, but unfortunately I think this was going to happen anyway. BT's have engineered the situation in conjunction with Tom Derby/AFA to extract maximum £'s from the pieces.
On one hand I really think it was a real shame that this has happened but then I also realise that companies have to make money and this was clearly the best way of achieving a high sum for the pieces (given the no-sale at the auction). Did AFA/BT's feel any guilt, well probably yes, at least until the invoice was paid :wink:
Myself (If these were something I was looking for) I would have had them cased together still in the packaging with a description of the significance, confirmation of authenticity and no grades.
I know the owner and he knew that this would be controversial. He's sitting on a unique investment and a real nice piece, to me the sealed figures would be more important than the sticker but its his money and that is just the way it goes.
