I am still none the wiser as to what Ben Sheehan does

Someone said he is a fireman, is that an in joke?

Are they saying he is NOT in a position to own something like this or he IS?!? :?

That made me chuckle :D I now imagine him with a little elf hat on

What blows me away is not the whole U grade thing as apparently the owner didn't care about that  but the fact these are some of the rarest MOC's out there and knobjockey here has just destroyed them for their own ego..it's a disgrace...
Some of you guys are very superficial...why does it have to look good to be good???? Stupid mentality if you ask me

The RS thread is crazy, I was sleeping when it all happened. I managed to miss the part about these are salesman samples, authenticated already, Tom Derby could have graded them without removing them(sabers and all) I want to type a really long post but can't be arsed  The owner has a really great item(s) but kicked the hobby in the balls collecting the way he /she has

FYI the new owner is no knobjockey. Also your comment about superficial items dosent hold much water either. Some collectors can afford to splash out on top quality so whats wrong with that. Not everyone likes beater examples. Just my humble opinion Josh.

That made me laugh out Grant   very aloof (joking) :D

Seriously guys no point turning on each other if the subject needs to be discussed then try and keep it civil and informed.

Just my opinion Jay

Jay,

Im not picking any fights and I wasnt trying to sound aloof either.

I was just sticking up for the guy who own the the DT set as he isnt a knob jockey and I felt I should comment on Josh's comment about some collectors being superficial I myself cant see the appeal of beater examples and much prefer better quality items.

I will reiterate the point that I aint picking fights with anyone Im just commenting for the great of good.

Thank you

Well it's all getting a little confusing Grant but whoever requested them to be removed from the cards IS A KNOB JOCKEY whether that's BT's or said friend of yours ;) This has nothing to do with preservation at all that is the biggest load of wank I have ever heard it's money money money as usual  ....as for some collectors being superficial well I stand by my comment as it's TRUE it has been clearly shown on more than one occasion some just have more money than sense.

Grant i understand where your your coming from i love nice example MOC's and i only collect Clear Bubbles.

There is a difference between better quality items in terms of condition of course there is.

I personally collect Tri Logos and i also aim for C9+ Examples where possible i don't need to pay 3 times the amount sometimes more for an AFA graded example.

Re the DT'S the figures arent suddenly any better because of a grade are they? They are the same figures that were on the card before the MOC was destroyed.

Surely something that has the significance that these MOC's had is a real quality in its self?

At the same time i wasn't saying you were picking a fight either Grant i just dont think that this thread should go the way the one on RS went at times and was kinda hoping to pre emf that.

Jay

And for the record... a superficial person and someone who collects nice MOC's etc as Grant has put it are two completely different things

Josh, Jay

I just wrote a hug post and my fu*king computer crashed and I lost the post and now I CBA even bothering writing it out again.

Lets not resort to name calling and pathetic comments like they do over on RS. The guy aint a knob jockey and if anyone else was calling you guys names or knob jockeys Id be the first to stand up and tell them to wind their neck in. Were solely here for a laugh and to see what our small community of collectors has been finding lately etc. If it starts getting anything like RS I aint posting again.

FFS its plastic spacemen and lumps of cardboard were discussing here. If some one wants to pour petrol on a full vintage line of C9.5 condition items let them as long as its theirs to do so. It aint worth arguing over.

LOL Grunter we aint gonna become like RS...and it aint about him not doing what he wants with his stuff.... its about ethics man that's all :)
Your friend isn't a knobjockey in the definiton of the word (is it even one lol) but destoying MOC's of that callibre... that didn't need to be destroyed..which have been proven to be real or could have been without removing them, is a ****ING IGNORANT THING TO DO ;) IMO anyway. I am gonna leave it at that ok.......I promise

Oh yeah and congrats to the owner he was ONCE very lucky to own those MOC's for a short while..now he has just another Loose DT Vader and Ben IMO:)
I wonder if he ever actualyy got to hold them carded?

I read about half of the first page of that RS thread and then ****ed it off.
My god they are so anally retentive it's hard believe!

Sure they know their stuff, but **** me they don't half drone on and on and on.....

I totally agree with you there Weas. Its bits of plastic and cardboard there all fighting over which is pathetic.

You dropped £1700 on these bits of plastic and cardboard...I bet they didn't seem so pathetic at the time Grunter :)

And I think if you really felt that way you wouldn't be collecting the high grade items that you do ;) Bits of cardboard and plastic indeed LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Well i learnt that DT lukes can be found in SW-A,B,C & D baggies lol.

Strange how for years i've only ever seen Sw-A DT luke baggies, and now i find out there are 3 other baggie types. Where have they been hiding all these years lol, ive never seen any limelighted on here or scum.

I'm not going to comment much on this display, because i don't want to offend anyone.

All i will say is it was a crime to open them up for a stupid ****ing U Grade!!
Left on the cards they would of still displayed nice in a acrylic display.

I know it wasn't the owners choice to have these opened up, so the blame must lie with AFA imo.
