Im as surprised as you are Star Geezer. Hoth stormie is a classic star wars figure as is Yoda but one of the most iconic? the ultimate SW fig? Not for me. cant wait for the final i will be rooting for stormies brother!
jambobbyb said:Hi Pete Its interesting you should say that. I took the definition of ultimate to mean that as its definition, this is closer to ultimate and iconic than ultimate and favourite. In my opinion
"being the best or most extreme example of its kind."
Its all personal taste and these two figs arent mine is all i am saying. The final will be interesting and i wil be rooting for old neckless.
PGowdy said:Absolutely, all comes down to personal taste and often past experience and memory. Tho "iconic" and "ultimate" are 2 completely different and largely unrelated things. Ultimate just means "top" or "best" literally. So favourite. Iconic would be something different altogether. Personal taste wouldn't come in to picking an iconic figure as much.

Sorry Pete I disagree with you completely, To become an Icon you have to be the very best at what you do. Best = Ultimate = indivisible = 0 Ultimate and Icon go hand in hand.
here are some Icons of the 20th century with all of these people you dont have to like them or what they did to see they are the "best/Ultimate" at what they did.
1. The Beatles
2. Louis Armstrong
3. Lucille Ball
4. Humphrey Bogart
5. Marlon Brando
6. Charlie Chaplin
7. James Dean
8. Marilyn Monroe
9. Mickey Mouse
10. Elvis Presley

The Stone roses : with many critics regarding it as one of the greatest British albums ever recorded.

huh pmsl total crap you say  so your saying mr brown is a top live singer :? and on top of his game and one of the best at it![]()
. even the diehard faithful fans like myself would agree otherwise. on his day live the odd tune maybe and in the studio for recording purpose without doubt yes! but live no, ians very poor always has been even admits it himslef .doesnt ound bad to me as such but to most who see and hear him live will say he is gash and thats what i said  this makes him an icon with a lesser ablity .the rst of the band are shithot everytime!
p.s im the bloke thats seen ian and the others solo over 30-40 times over the years and went all round the world 2012-2013 to see the roses inc the first full reform gig in barcelona myself so you need not preach to me about their talent mate ,you more than likley wont come across another fan as diehard as me , especially not on starwars boards![]()

I'm a massive Stone Roses fan and saw them last summer, the gig was amazing, I've also seen Ian Brown solo a couple of times. I love his music and his swagger but I have to agree that he is a pretty terrible singer live, his gigs are good because you love the band and the music but at the end if the day he isn't the greatest singer, just a great performer.
