I personally can't see it selling for 10k, especially with 5 more equally case fresh examples to come. But who knows? In the world of Palitoy Star Wars, anything goes.

Not everybody knows there are five more. As per my previous comment personally I think it stinks that they are holding back multiples deliberately to maximise profit, I can only imagine how gutted the guy that bought the first Palitoy FX-7 a few months back is. There's a difference between flooding the market and being deceptive.

edd_jedi said:But surely you agree that if all six were sold in the same auction, the average selling price would be less than the sale of just one? We're not talking about common loose figures that there are thousands of here (and besides you've probably noticed I'm not too kind on the fools paying hundreds of pounds for VCJs either!)
I know (and agree) that rarity doesn't directly dictate value, but believe it or not many people aren't in this hobby just to sap the most money out of people. I can think of lots of members here who have made great finds (eg boxes of baggies or mailers) and sold them for reasonable prices to the masses rather than drip-feeding them.

Is it just me or do those prices seem "cheap" in comparison to many other 12Back Palitoy sales in the last few years? £2200 for the Chewie..I remember the one that sold for £5600 on eBay in 2012: http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13244

they werent minty mint... ive got a list ive been keeping of graded and non graded and these fit in there for the kind of quality. sure, we've seen 12back palitoys fetch a lot, but they are coming around with a semi regularity at Vectis sales. I wonder if this auction house did the sale a slight disservice... (did they engage the community?)
Mr-shifter said:These were not beaters. The auction house did not know what they had. These came in with a large collection of Hornby trains, but they still got sniffed out by collectors. Not one of them had a commission bid of less than £300.
naughtyjedi said:Its not hard to find these these things... it takes no particular skill to have a saved search across the bidmaster auction system.. I'm sure many on here use such systems.
