TRI LOGO AT-AT DRIVER

I recently purchased a tri logo ATAT driver on eBay. The bubble had some crushing but I was happy with the sellers description and the price I paid.

It arrived today and I eagerly opened the parcel to find the bubble had a hair line crack at the bottom amoungst the crush that was not mentioned by the seller.

I contacted the seller immediately and sent him a photo and explained the bubble was cracked. I told him I liked the card but was unhappy with the price I paid knowing now the bubble was cracked.

He pointed me to one of the photos on the auction where the crack was visible. He acknowledged that he had overlooked including it in the description. He said he was not prepared to offer a part refund and that I would need to return the figure for a full refund. I honestly thought what I now know is a crack was just part of the crushing but I got the feeling he thought I was just trying it on.

So my question is what current value of this card in good condition (with no cracks in the bubble) and how often do they come up? Just need some advise so I can decide whether to hang onto it or send it back. I've checked eBay and all I can find are graded examples.

On a side note I ha e not posted this thread to call the seller out. Him seems okay guy who made an honest mistake then listing this.

The AT-AT Driver is one of the not so easy ones to find - maybe top 25 (and certainly much easier than the Trilogo Boba Fett Rich  )

I would say that it is a 100-150GBP card but prices for Trilogo's - especially on good condition - have been going crazy recently

The seller is well within his rights not to offer a partial refund but is it s bit of a douche move - and to be honest, as long as it was a fair amount then he would be better doing it than risking it making the journey back (not to mention the resale fees and hassle of sending out a damaged bubble again)

If it's the one I think it is (£79?) then imo you probably paid ever so slightly more than it's worth in that condition, although if it didn't have the crack then that would have been about right I suppose.

I guess an ungraded c8+ these days coming from another collector is easily going to set you back £100-130, meaning you could be looking at £180-200 for a graded one. Imo anything under £80 for a decent ungraded one right now would probably be a "bargain".

As far as rarity goes, the main reason the AT-AT Driver tends to go for a higher price than most of the other ESB figures is largely due to the airbrushed/alternate card art but if I'm honest, I don't think the figure itself is incredibly hard to find.

£80 is too much for one with a crack and if it's not something you are happy with I would probably send it back and just hope you find another one in the future for a similar price. If you can get the guy to agree to the partial refund somehow then I think £40-50 would be a fair valuation for the figure in that condition.

Thanks guys, seller has agreed to a partial now, so feel okay about the transaction now and will keep the item.

Nice one, sounds like it worked out well in the end!
