This blaster that came with a leia I purchased is translucent it floats and sounds right when dropped - I've never seen one before, any ideas?

Am sure I've seen these on TIG, there are a few blaster that are translucent as to which variant it comes with that I'm not sure of :)

Interesting guys - mmmm, figure is GMFGI 1977 Hong Kong 2 lines (I think - not with her just now)

Is this a similar thing to the green crossbow chewie crossbow?

It's important to note that some of the early Dark Blue / Black Blasters were produced in a Green / Blue Colour and some were even semi-translucent. This page will catalogue these variations.

Thanks for the info June - I always forget about TIG  Is this blaster rarer (more valuable) ?

Hi mate hope your well

I think yours maybe its EB

There is one on eBay that says hoth, so gets me confused

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Star-Wars-Princess-Leia-Hoth-Bespin-Translucent-Blue-Gun-Blaster-Weapon-/251288850725?pt=US_Action_Figures&hash=item3a81fb9125

Nice though if its EB did you get it with figure, if so check it out if the fig is EB

If not you'll have to gt an EB mate

All the best bud

I have the same figure and blaster, not sure if the Leia should have brown face paint aswell but the translucent green is EB from what I've read and spoke to James about. That one on eBay is translucent blue and why it's for Leia bespin or Hoth

I have a sealed leia from a 12 back Palitoy cut card and I think it's translucent green/black one. I always remember a lot of my childhood figures from ANH days having the same type of plastic (Han, DSC, Leia and Stromtrooper) and have always thought that these were the first issued blasters. I can't really remember how translucent they were but they definitely were the green/black type.

Not sure how much that helps but I thought it was worth a mention.

That's great mate - I have a brown facial features Leia going to match them up :D - that's pretty cool to know - you know I have a memory also of green translucent weapons also - wasnt sure if it was false memory though

Cheers
